    ROS to polish car?

I once cleaned, clayed, polished and waxed my focus so nicely that I quite literally walked past it as I didn't recognise it. :ROFLMAO: A week later it frosted out and honestly had 2mm ice cubes all over the car.

Advice on using an MFT to cut full sheets

Glad you got what you wanted out of it Mike.

DIY Overhead crown guard with dust extraction.

Same hplv as me then there Doug. Where did you find the extraction suffered when only using the dx4000? Above ghe table or under the table?

DIY Overhead crown guard with dust extraction.

I thought the whole point of lphv was that it was able to bring in enough volume to catch all the finer dust that you said comes back above the top? If I'm honest I'd not put much stock in the small crown guard ports being there because you're supposed to use hplv and more likely just because...

DIY Overhead crown guard with dust extraction.

@Jacob I don't think I've ever seen anyone with both hplv and hvlp on a table saw before though I can understand the reasoning. Do you run yours in such a fashion?

DIY Overhead crown guard with dust extraction.

I've been thinking about doing similar for mine so this is an interesting build to me. I have been wondering whether I might try and build something with no metal like screws near the blade just in case it deflected or dropped. Maybe over worrying. Would be nice to have a proper volume of air...

why dont tools last any more

Think it's a post in the wrong thread. Should have bought one of the old cast iron cordless jobbies. Only runs off of one 12v battery. Fine its a 100Ah car battery but the tool will still be working in 42 years unlike the cheap junk haggis bought. Plus the extra weight would make you look like...

I don't think they would believe it nowadays?

There are also poor people of all colours in London and yet a wealth divide between birth and South is still a very real thing. But indeed, let's just try to make a world where women (like my 3 year old daughter) aren't spoken over, underpaid, taken for granted, subjected to the majority of...

Advice on using an MFT to cut full sheets

Just have a go with some small bits first. Watch Peter millards tracksaw series and go at it. No need for track clips though they are nice additions to help out.

Festool Domino repair - how much!!

Sounds good to me. I didn't realise until I bought one that they'll also replace a stolen tool in warranty for £120 I think it was. Not bad going. Their stuff does cost a lot, and it does sting for a moment. But I do have to say my experience with the domino and ts55 this far have been great.

Advice on using an MFT to cut full sheets

It depends on the saw as well. The guides on my ts55 for example are longer than on my titan. A titan that's not wholly on the rail can waver a bit while the festool is a bit more lenient from what I've seen. Mike, I'm not sure what your issue is about the sheet and the far end dogs? The edge...

I don't think they would believe it nowadays?

Coloured and snowflakes in the same sentence. Maximum points 🤣 Assuming this chap was born white he hasn't become white privileged. He was born it the same as (and I'm guessing here) the majority of us on this very board. He never got overlooked for a job because his name sounded a bit iffy be...

    12" blade table saw wanted

The sip 01446 is one such saw. I know as I have it though olny with a 10" blade in.

3m saw guide rail. How straight is straight?

Unlikely to be built in stress then if you're not trimming much off. Clamp it and try the line with a very fine pencil or ideally a mechanical so its a consistent width line. Again though, this tool isn't designed for this job. Though it can work if done like the above and others have mentioned...

    PAINTING OVER SILICON SEALER.

Things don't like sticking to silicone despite how readily it sticks to everything else. You could try one of the Zinnsers maybe?

    3D design software

What I've enjoyed about Fusion is being able to change one value and the whole model update around it, I guess its the same with any other parametric system. Great on larger drawings like these that I did. The workshop I could literally change how long or wide I wanted it by how many bricks...

3m saw guide rail. How straight is straight?

Did you draw a line along the splinter strip before you cut to see if the blade followed the same path? And are you cutting in the middle of a panel or just trimming 10mm off one end?
