    Cutting toughened glass

Not possible. The toughening process introduces too much internal stress, so even a cooled abrasive disc will cause the piece to explode into tiny pieces. Can you make a hole in the ceiling?

    Parquet floor repair

for deep dents I prefer the tip of a soldering iron, I find this really focuses the steam where it is needed.

    NHS

Leaving hospital after a serious illness or injury isn't like checking out of a hotel. I agree that those who have the means to pay, via insurance or personal resources should pay for their treatment, if they are not entitled to use NHS free of charge, but not that people should be presented...

track saw with the deepest cut depth

There is a Sheppach track saw with a 75mm capacity, not sure of the model number. Edit - it's the PL75. Second edit - of course, the PL75 is probably as heavy and large as the TS55, so probably doesn't meet your criteria.

    Plasterboard fixings. Anyone used Gripit?

Utter ***** in my experience, they rely on a very small screw to unfurl the 'wings' which hold the fitting in place, and I had a fifty percent failure rate with these screws breaking if there was an resistance. I personally filed then under 'unusable crap' after one encounter.

    Porcelain tile drill bits

Yep, Bosch multi construction are great for all sorts of tough materials, including hardened steel and tile. They're wicked sharp out of the box, and can be touched up with a diamond hone.

Could you not get some 1/4" tube and ream it to fit over a 5mm drill bit?

Legge 707 lock spring dislodged.. where/how to relocate?

Ps: don't get a new one, these are horrible bits of tut, but new ones are worse. 10 years Locksmithing gave me a persistent dislike for these locks, if you have to replace, switch it for a Yale 88 or 89.

Legge 707 lock spring dislodged.. where/how to relocate?

The springs sits on the spigot to the left of the latch. It engages either on the back edge of the brass portion of the latch, or in the hole directly behind. The other end levers off the side of the case. For clarity - you will need to tension the spring to fit it. You insert it so the...

    Brazilian mahogany

You might be able to sell it to a tonewood dealer, as you say it's hard to come by these days, and is in demand for reproductions of the Golden era guitars, both acoustic and electric.

small cramps, yours for the P&P.

Thanks Phil, that's extremely kind. £5 will be going to charity, most likely to Parkinsons Research.

Veritas Honing Guide Gone Awry - Resolved

Uneven pressure is very likely. Even if it isn't the cause, it's an easy solution. Lean a bit heavy on the otherside until the edge is square, problem solved.

The aforementioned Zinser BIN should do the trick for this.

Elu routers - still a good buy, even now?

My T5 has done reasonable service, but I'd hesitate to recommend one to you, the speed controller is very... Odd? It'll run down as if it's overheating in the middle of a very light cut, sometimes when not under any load, and I recall this being a fault reported by several of people. Plus, the...
