    That's a very fair comment Roy. There doesn't seem to be any mid ground between heavy cast iron professional PT's and cheap aluminium short tabled brush motor things. Unless anyone else knows better. Having trawled the internet this afternoon it looks likely I will keep my Axminster after all...

    Hi Roy, yes it does have a wheel kit but it's still a beast to wheel around a very small workshop. Maybe I need to find a better wheel kit.

    I think the bearings should be fine to take the extension support away as it's only a very short roller. If it isn't well, it's got a 5 year guarantee. Looking at the castings on very similar ones, I'd guess they are made in the same factory in China then rebadged
