Table saw under £150? Ryobi ETS 1526AL?

Well It runs Mark :) Did you buy one? I put a temp supply to it and fired it up, I've not owned a ts before so cant comment on the noise compared to others, but it is no noisier than my hand held circular saw. I did just love the way I could cut 45 deg with repeatability though. Of course I...

My first workshed and my new workshop basework

Had a word with Cuprinol customer service and they suggested Clear Decking protector for both workshop and deck to keep it "wood looking" without any stain. Had to treat the old shed to the left as well so got some acorn brown shed and fence preserver thinking that would maybe match the other...

Axminster TS200 Table Saw - A cautionary tale

Sorry to read of your trouble. Sounds like they copied my cheapo £112 B&Q mitre, that rocked about above the bed too. https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/view ... 3&start=30 Glad I didnt go for the Axminster now, I would really have been upset spending that sort of money. Is the mitre protractor...

    T Track

If there was enough call for these I could set up to make some to fit 3/4" track, drilled & tapped M6 say 50mm long. I think I could do a pair for somewhere around £2.50 to 2.95 delivered. Wing screw knobs in M6 for studding or knobs with 40mm stud seem to be around £1.50 each from a quick...

Table saw under £150? Ryobi ETS 1526AL?

Hi Mark, and welcome from me to the forum. I have still not had the time to rig up a power feed to try the saw out, too much real work keeps getting in the way. As my workshop is brand new it has no power as yet, just another job to add to my list! I will try and fire it up this week to make...

Table saw under £150? Ryobi ETS 1526AL?

Well I can see me using an inverted router on the saw table, but I dont see me using my old battered jig saw on it so if thats what its for I will ignore it ;-) I've still not powered the saw yet, I spent some time looking at it from an engineering point of view and can see where I could make...

Table saw under £150? Ryobi ETS 1526AL?

I probably should know this but I dont. Whats the cutouts and knobs for on my new table? I tried my router against the other end that I do know the use of  and it seems I need to drill and counter some new holes to fit that.

Table saw under £150? Ryobi ETS 1526AL?

I am now the proud owner of a B&Q special. I did go against the opinions of most here as I really dont have the spare money atm to go for an Axminster. Some have commented that they have the macallister tablesaw and that its ok, for what I ended up paying I think I have my moneys worth even if...

    W750 Trouble

Again I'm guessing but it looks like the bottom switch may have already "rotated" into the locked position even though the key is no in it. I have seen this happen before when someone has been poking about trying to defeat the safety device. It still wont give a "door closed" signal to the...

    W750 Trouble

This sort of safety switch requires quite accurate alignment of the key part on the door. I've not seen a pic of yours but generally they have a shape with a cut out in the center which when the door is closed the plastic parts in the switch iteslf roll round entering the cut out part of the...

    Buying wood online

If you need a timber merchant in the UK who is close to the cross channel ports, they dont come much closer than these 2. http://www.channelwoodcraft.com/ http://www.timberclick.com/ Both are in fact the same company and are in Folkestone though some items seem to be cheaper depending which...

My first workshed and my new workshop basework

Well I may have a go at putting the circular saw down the edge to get a gap sawn but I dont want to mess it up :( or I may just leave it as is  I managed to get some more shiplap along the bottom edge yesterday to hide the transition from shed to frame. Hard to find the time atm for...

My first workshed and my new workshop basework

I did go for a gap along the boards sides of 3mm, it was going to be 5mm but I didnt like viewing the weedcontrol through the gaps. I made some alloy L shaped 3mm plates to hang in the gaps to try to get them uniform. Its actually the ends of the boards that are cut at 45% that I was wondering...

My first workshed and my new workshop basework

Think I may need to get the circular saw out! The decking done at the weekend has boards running like this. I was wondering this morning if it should have had room for expansion along the infilled sections. Looking at Rogers super deck post from last year, it would seem I should have had a...

Table saw under £150? Ryobi ETS 1526AL?

My first workshed and my new workshop basework

Last week the workshed looked like this. Needed to get some decking down for the wife to use in the summer when she entertains her friends to Barbeque's so it now looks like this. The little area to the right forground will be paved with the barbeque built on it. I've screwed a bit of...

    Felt roofing technique

That roof looks really very nice Gidon, almost like slate. What was the cost and how easy was it to fit?

    Felt roofing technique

The felt was just roofers top weight stuff and the adhesive make I also cant be sure of now, buy from a builders merchant rather than Homebase etc would be a good bet, the normal shed weight felt isnt really worth bothering with imo as it just wont last.

    Felt roofing technique

I did this pent roof around 3yrs ago using the method Bob suggested. I didnt enclose a batton and if you look carefully you can see that where the strips overlap the next it gains a little kink due to one end having further to go than the rest of the strip. I used plenty of felt adhesive so its...
