Three items that I've had for a while, two I've never used. Clarke Mortising attachment - see Clarke CMA1B Mortising Attachment - Machine Mart - Machine Mart - this is new, unused in the box which is a bit tatty, with 4 different size mortise bits. £30.00 Drill press attachment - fits...

    Which Glue Gun To Buy

I've had a very basic glue gun for about 40 years - simplicity itself with no trigger . . . you hold and push the glue stick through with your thumb - it just works! I was given the little Bosch Glue Pen cordless a while ago, the glue line, when it works is for very fine work - but I wouldn't...

    Etsy

Yep but at a very low volume - I saw the article. I sold an item last night - the cash (100% of the net amount) is listed to be paid to my bank overnight tonight - I shall be checking. I've had one retention of 45 days when I sold an item at about three times the usual transactions I have...

    "Surf-prep" sander idea

    Yep - I just saw that - I'd need to laminate together 3 perhaps 4 bits of 5mm for what I need . .

    "Surf-prep" sander idea

That was in my mind but finding the "male and female" hook and loop in sheets to cut and glue has stumped me so far - one possibility is to get a Mirka pad (rectangular) and cut it into pieces to mount on the square machine pad. James (above) - pad need male and female sides on the pad - and i...

    "Surf-prep" sander idea

Having seen what appears to be the excellent Surf-prep sander in lots of US YT videos I'm trying to see if I can convert a cheapie Silverline 4.5" square sander to get the same effect. The key feature is a hook and loop foam pad about 10mm thick that fits to the machine and then to hook and...

    STREtek poplar faced ply

Update : The local-ish supplier (went there on my bike!) - the sheets had more plugs than you can imagine, on both faces. A bit more research on Stretek and I've ruled it out as being too soft for a table top - the original Birch supplier looks likely to get the order and I'll just have to...

    Electric/small/portable air compressor

I have a small, tank-less Clarke Jumbo compressor that would do the job - BUT I've had mine for about 40 years and I'm not sure they still make/sell them (Clarke is Machine Mart* here in the UK) - what you might find is a compressor that's designed for artists to airbrush artwork that MIGHT have...

    Armoured cable supplier?

I bought a roll of 2.5T&E + the glands etc from Toolstation - not expensive in the scheme of things - to run power to a couple of exterior powerpoints about 15m up my garden. 10mm wasn't much more . . do you need that, what are you powering?

Make the most of the pencil on the right, the meanies at Screwfix have discontinued them (gone the way of the pens at Argos)

I have one of these great little saws and the table removal to change the blade has been an annoyance - great idea to cut a slot . . . what did you do it with - angle grinder or saw of some sort?

    Air pumps/air wedges

If I'm understanding what you're trying to do Robin Clevett had some clever "mechanical jacks" for fitting doors on a recent YT video - looked a lot better/more stable than airbags

    Spray Can Advice--Clear Gloss

Yep - don't know the brand but it came from B&M - several light coats and the finish was excellent. Tip: get a "trigger attachment" that fits on standard aerosol spray cans - the control of the spray is much better than just a finger on the nozzle (Amazon has them)
