    Reccomend me a whetstone/sharpening setup under £50

I am looking for a cheap-ish sharpening setup for my planes and chisels. I was planning to buy the Axi Honing Guide (Link) and then a whetstone, just trying to decide what one. I looked at the axminster sharpening set, Link to Kit, but this seems to be mostly for knives. I would be really...

What Air Upholstery Stapler To Buy

I haven't used the stapler, but I recently got the Axminster headless pinner and am very impressed with it. Seems solidly built, came in a nice case, and I will definitely purchase more from their line in future when the need rises. They have a couple of staplers as well, all for <£100. If you...

FTAGH Free Book: 'Loader - Making Wooden Toys and Games'

I have this book which was given to me by a friend who was clearing out her grandfathers workshop. It is in excellent condition but unfortunatley I do not have a use for it. I was hoping to give it to someone who would appreciate it. I would only ask you to cover the cost of postage (or it can...

    Found Headless Pins,Axminster 24 gauge.

Yeah I will try and get hold of some and try them. On a quick google search they seem to cost more than the axi ones. What should I be looking for!

    Found Headless Pins,Axminster 24 gauge.

Very useful to know. I don’t know why I didn’t think to measure the axi pins! I have a box of the 18mm ones at home and I’ll try and measure them one day this week as well. Looks like will be able to buy 23 gauge pins from now on!

I use this saw and it is fine, has a warranty so I always take the approach of i'll buy it and see how it is, worst case scenario send it back. I have had it for about 6 months now I think.

    FTAGH Free books

I was recently given some books from a family friend whos father in law passed away. I have kept some of them, which are of interest to me, however there are about 12 that I have no use for, and will just sit on the shelf never to be looked at opened. I would much prefer that these are given...

    Kity 636

Photos as promised. I had to take it to bits to get it in the car. The cutter block and Infeed roller looks like they are going to take quite a bit of work! The place I got it from was very peculiar, When the bloke showed me it working he touched it and it gave him a shock!! I am sure that...

    Kity 636

Yes I am very interested to work out how best to restore these. The planer tables are obviously Aluminium and have mild to moderate corrosion. The thicknesser bed could be mistaken for iron with the severe corrosion on it, I think that will take a lot more work once I get it out! I will in...
