    DeWalt DWE625 router issue question

    down graded due to cost cutting........send it back and either swap it for another make or get ur money returned...... my old Dewalt router has all metal clamping but compared to my Hitachi/Makita it's garbage..... My Dw gets used to trim up ally untill it dies....no loss.............

    depends if u really want old looking stuff......there are some oustanding designs but decent stuff cost a lot of money regardless what they say on the telly about brown furniture....... going the old route ring round as many house clearance firms as u can......even if u need to travel a hundred...

    aargh drains !

    I lived in a 10 year old house with a similar problem.... the row of 8 houses all shared the same drain which ran under my driveway like everybody else....... in the end the whole pipe top to bottom had to be relaid /replaced..... all 8 houses paid an equ share of the whole cost....

    cobalt drills should have the cobalt in the material not on the outside..... set of even cheapie cobalt drills like that would be over £50...... I pay €1,50 for a 2.5mm cabalt drill made in Austria..... let us know how u get on pls......

    love it...... does boiling in Citric make it faster ....... not sure aout the Pig fat tho..... PS, if u add a little ep80//90w oil to copper slip and whip it up or never seize in the US it will stay soft for years........ I used it succesfully on the undercarriage of crawler cranes.....

    I still have the one I had when I started out 50 years ago........ plus a lot of other tools in that gift box..... mostley use flat screwdriver's as levers or paint lid removers...... thankfully a thing of the past...

    either drill out a slightly larger hole say ,5mm and use industrial anchor resin or as said before drill and make the studding cut it's own thread..... I have used that idea a fair bit with no real probs.... BUT u need to find the correct size drill as in tapping metal and modify the first 6...

    I would buy another SLOW speed band saw just for that job.... jigsaws are ok if u have a vari speed machine set on slow......... decent blades last a good while...except on st/steel...... u will def need decent safety glasses....those shards are lethal....I use glasses and a face shield...

    when I came back from living in California DeWalt was the big thing....... I'd compared prices and was horrified....... went to a tool show here in the UK and took some US magazines with adverts and costing....... asked why the price difference .....     have a couple of those plus a good few of the newer type........ when I moved outta France I cleared the barn....... point being a chap bought an old Stihl chain saw to add to his collection of 300....pretty sad...... bet he lives alone.....lol......
