    I was given 3...... plan to use the steel bits in a project and melt the ally down for another........ they are from the 50's with a make anything do attitude.......rubbish....like most DIY tooling from that time... even my dads wood chisels wouldn't out perform some Chinese stuff today...

    it's not unusual to wash out motors but not with a power washer..... def dont use a degreaser ...... but once clean leave it to dry for a few days, then in the airing cupboard or a sunny window... turning every few hours.....after which a gentle blow out with an airline to remove any loose...

    I'm sure Laguna and a couple of the German made planers come with that as standard.....plus Axi do the upgrade on a new machine..... it's still Chinese machine tho....prob all a bit over ur limit.... . looked into getting one for my 16" planer....it has to be custom made and without a drawing...

    if u have easy access, use a couple of old DEMOUNTED tyres as suspension /support for ur machine..... better than being tied solid when laying down.....just a little flex helps a lot.... when moving truck/tractor engines it saves a lot of damage to engine and transport...

    I use an old Bi-Metal hand hacksaw blade to scribe / mark metal....... never bothered with wood as nothing I make is that special.....yet.... still look in awe at member projects........ as for the old industrial Rapidor type hacksaw machine blades, cant remember the last time I saw one...
