go to the highest speed poss on ur machine...... I use a ultra high speed Medding drill press just for that job on metal.....18,000rpm for 2mm....the machine will run at 23,000rpm....

apart from the adjustment a little leak is what is intended......as for adjustment ....better a little loose than a little tight.... too tight even with oil will trash the main shaft... if it were not supposed to leak there would be a seal there...... take a look at this.....my Colchester...

I dont know of that drill but in the past had a piece of 1/2" plate cut so that the table and the clamp is one piece....be better if it was 3/4 but it's now getting heavy... if lazer cut theres no extra work other than the slot and how u decide to secure the clamp to the tube....

more info really.....but often it's easy to loose or damage the union sealing ring, either compressed card or rubber..... I always use a smear of grease to hold it in place..... maybe even and extra tweek with one of these......almost a spanner from the past.... biggest problem with under sink...

all I ever use now is 2 or 3 straight flute cutters and adjust the feed rate.....the router runs at around 2/3rds max speed..... never changed the speed setting since I bought nearly 25 years ago.....3HPx1/2" Hitachi..... as for the smaller ones 1/4-6mm, speed about the same as above.... u'll...

u would be suprised how good the Lidil ones are.....for semi pro and DIY use perfect.... I have an expensive one £125 which isn't that expensive anymore..... Having 2 welders in 2 diff places it's easier to have 2 lids....... I cant find any difference between em..... I prefer the self charging...

think I'd just get a used spindle moulder and hang the expence....for safety reasons....and future projects.. if he has to ask that kind of question there's danger afoot.....sorry..... OR just pay a joiners shop to do it, prob just a few quid during lunch for the lads T fund.... I can see it...
