    A maze of threads. Stanley, Marples, Record and all etc:-

    upto 3/8ths BSW and UNC are the same....not the correct thread angle but will work well enough.... temp one off taps can be made from Silver steel etc provided its hardened.....

    Sandyn, stone built house ...nice... MikeJhn, hope it was tied in at the top and 1/2 way up.....wire or rope with a fixed eye in the wall..... those steady's cant really be trusted at that height.... n the ladder need to poke thru further, easier to mount and dismount....I know it's at max...

    well then, all my machines both metal and wood (there are a lot) are well used and old..... been in store for nearly 3 years....will rebuild em when they see daylight..... DO I paint em all the same colour..... already thinking of getting the racking sandblasted and powder coated yellow in blue...

    stigmorgan I did a lot in a private school.....painting at night mostley..... but once did the dining room floor....... after all the scrubbing, the varnish like product was put on with a big mop as in Mc Donalds.... it looked like milk....... aparently good for a year with 2 coats.... strange...

    someone else will know but pretty sure the Japanese will also have a joint for that job... They are the master of joints in wood..... I'm always amazed at what they turn out...

    do u remember the ford transit diesel engine that sounded like a bag of hammer's..... well that was the first factory built engine tha only used silicone for the sump sealing.. every overhaul eng set of gaskets never came with a sump gasket... used properly it works well......

    New Lawnmower has leaked oil and has creamy thick residue in foam filter...

    oily mess on / in the foam air filter...oil is used to catch the small dust particals.... at least once per year wash in petrol or spray clener the a good few drops of oil to make it messy again.... the better qual machines like Honda use a throw away paper filter...bit like a car.... please...

    this all I use.....me n her have two of those v/large Starbucks coffee mugs for a Latte... milk in the microwave and wizz, boil the kettle..... the cof pot is a Sainsbury's purchase around 20 years ago....wizzer bought in Athens for 3euro's over 10 years ago.... why bother with those fancy...

    I assume it has the blade directly attached to the crankshaft (vertical).... sometimes there's a flywheel brake....can be operated in a few ways but most often when the throttle is closed the brake drags on the flywheel...give it max throttle and try again... by chance is there a petrol smell in...

    thank u Orraloon..... I can never understand for normal'ish turning why everyone has so out of balanced wood.... and then CRANKS UP the speed....madness.... it's so easy to take the big lumps off....elec chain saws etc...... wiered lumps of wood for turning need a big, heavy old fashioned...
