Geoff_S all our fridge freezers have solid metal back panels and only one has the radiator type fins..... I always put a block of wood at the back of mine just incase her indoors gets it out to clean under it..... she even cleans the top of the cupboards and dont talk about the cooker, she takes...

Prob be easier to get a junker for parts. look on Facebook / gumtree….won’t cost to much as they are on the cheaper end of the market…generic…. plus contact Southampton tool spares Etc….. They helped me out a couple of times….

Forget the diamond style stone for the soft metals. It will wreck em…. best way to shape is either with a machine and proper cutters or by hand with files n saws… if ur polishing say a soft casting or a piece of scratched brass…. start with the courser papers ( I prefer wet n dry)then gradually...

On other good source of the bigger bolts esp is a tractor repair/spares place….it's a common size. Expect to pay less then £2.

Just seen this..... what da u expect from Axminster machines...... it's a lot like the Warco c@rp...... if u want it to work properly u have to do the final fitting / machining urself.... there's proberly nobody there with the skill or patience to fix this kinda thing....

same problem here and the repair patches messed the clearances up.... so took the top of the burst chipboard with a sharp chisel..... then made some wooden plugs from odds n ends and epoxied them in the holes with a tap of a hammer.... the house is a rental and the repair has lasted 2 years so...

the number 7 is €132 delivered here.......Greek stock..... how can they make em that cheap..... "cheese Gromit" I have a really old one in store somewhere......lol....
