I had similar problems with my old Hitachi batteries.... no conversions adapters were available then.... so found a guy with the same tools and gave the lot away and replaced my drills with the latest Hitachi models..... fast forward 10 years and they are getting ready to be replaced...

If u had lived with them for 17 years u'd understand.......

u need to give us some idea of funds available...... remember u always grow into /out of ur machines..... go for something that will do what ya want plus more..... if u buy a qual machine u'll get ur money back if u wanna upgrade in the future.... supose it's diff to avoid a cheapo far eastern...

unless I've missed the point..... I had a brand new DeWalt flip saw, and regret selling quite often...Makita make a copy..... The way I see it, as have a bench top saw this does both jobs very well and accurate.... if it has to built into a base unit just bin the legs.....simples...
