    dadop....like ur style..... house builders are same all over the world........ nobody cares at all.... My first *new* house had a water problems when it rained.....and it always rains in Manchester.... every house since has been on a hill just for that reason.....

    have several planes that dont get used much....but my Stanley pocket plane I'd be lost without now...... the best tool for a good feeling in use is my leather handled Estwing.....gifted from a departed old friend..... off topic sorry......

    if u can, go with a floor standing saw.....because in time u will want to upgrade anyway..... nice to have table extensions or a slider.... 3 phase is a luxury...plenty of good capable machines with single phase..... with combination machines it's ideal if there is one motor per function...

    themack... just saying, that might be ol for nuts n bolts but taps, dies, files and drill bit should NOT be rattled around together.... always store seperately....... bit of a wire brush and some use is what I'd do.....

    360kgs is a lot of weight for a **** up ramp..... what happens if it lets go or a runaway..... there plenty out there man with a van na lot have taillifts..... pay the extra, wont be much if local..save the stress n ur back.... I got a stripped down Wadkin RS moved from Blackpool to Peterbourgh...

    I have always made my own roll-away stands/frame from steel.....good n strong plus easy to create storage..... TuffSaw is def the place to go for blades...... I wouldn't cut metal with a wood saw....well perhaps ally or brass on occ.......100% not steel or cast...... most b/saws are too...

    Unless ur a square ....lol.....or into engineering then the Thor mallet comp ... British and going for as long as I can remember....copper n hide or a double ender..... have a few but rather like the 5lbs'er.....still good after 40 years of use and the handle is orig and still tight.....

    just bought 2 bearing for my washing machine.... no name brand 11 euro's..... SKF, 16euro's......no prob with that but the SKF said made in Bulgeria.....!!!!!!!!! they r all at it..... used to offer a ride on-mower tower bearing service exchange..... 2 prices, cheapo chinese and named brand...

    just reminded me to get my blades off and sharpened again..... Steve , ask if someone is local and prepared to help set the planer up.....worth a try..... sounds like a good idea for T and cake + boy's time in the shed.... most of the problems on the cheaper machines is the short bed...

    Levelling old uneven shed floor before insulating

    as for the slab better to use a wash coat of Latex to the old CLEAN NON DUSTY/OILY floor then pour/lay the conc when still damp/wet..... I was advised buy Sikkens to do this on an outside path that gets very wet.... In the cement mix I'd also add glass fiber strands, very cheap....then it wont...

    bilspe.......looks rather nice.....do u use it.?....should slip over the wood like ice.... in my junk box I have a med size plane made from sheet steel......sides n base machine screwed together.... plan to post a photo when it comes out of storage.....

    when I fi®st looked at the photo I thought it was from Temu...... all that carpy plastic......cheap looking switch buttons...wont say anything about the plastic depth gauge/guide..... I earn my living with spanners and a few seconds to use em makes no difference when changing a bit....... Nah...

    my press has a 25ton Tangye hyd jack with no gauge..... after u use it a few times as Sideway say's u'll get the feel for it...... if u fit a new gauge it'll give some idea of pressure to use as a comparison say when fitting bearings or bushings.... dont worry to much...... remember to use...

    cant tell u the model as it's still in it's packing crate but it has a mechanical vari speed....bit like a twist n go scooter..... plus a three or 4 groove belt pully system.... swivel head for outsized platters..... never missed a beat in the 25 years I've owned....it was used when I bought...
