juat came to me,,,,,something like bar top hinges....but a single pin......they have dovetail shaped flaps.....
double the quant used or go bigger.....
provided the top is not 50mm thick "read v heavy" I would undercut the marble like fitting a hinge to a door.... and use an epoxy glue.....
best find a hinge with large /long wings....a normal butt hinge won't do.....best use st/steel as brass will stain the marble green....

so far managed to get away with the CROSS head screws on Japanese tools/machines so far...
but would like to buy something correct and decent.....
I know their "Phillips" headed screws are something different plus and seemingly quite a few dif sizes to ours in the...

an M42 will have no problem with either but the tooth count will......
a fine blade will cut the metal but bog down in wood esp if it gets to an inch ++ thick.....
as above keep the new saw for wood.....most use...?

cant complain about HSS blades really but it's the knots that beats em to death....
norm torx bits are a diff animall to impact....they are just as tough but more springy.....

a flat faced punch hitting on the top of the screw will shock it.....thats after ur fav lube soak.....
def use an hammer type impact....
if the head breaks there will be enough stud...
