    avery nice project..... a couple of things rather like the size of ur workshop..... u have a proper sized belt sander.... I hope those brackets that hold the galv poles "racking " is bolted to something stong....a lot of weight up there....lol.... because of athritus I'd struggle with pine...

    if u dont have a MAP gas burner an elec heat gun will help to warm up the pulley, keep it close to the pulley...... u'll end up using a puller for the beaings as well... BUT it will pull on the outter race of the bearing...... qual bearings are not expensive so replace them..... as for...

    Are Scheppach HM254 mitre saws all the same quality depending where you buy them.

    they were quite good in the old days.....their stuff was made in Europe...... now on the cheaper ranges it's all cheapo manufactured in Asia and painted a diff colour..... No idea at all but have u checked Lidil, Aldi....? Their returns policy is great for peace of mind...... worth a look at...

    Evolution R255ms 255mm mitre saw 2000w ? any good

    have the Evo mitre saw and it's pretty good for what it is..... My DeWalt 305mm is now a €1000's plus ....... for the work u explain I'd say it will do the job..... best part is that it aint bothered about nails or screws....... Mine gets used everywhere, pallet wood and frame work...

    New kitchen

    now u have some spare time u can come over and do mine......!!!!!!!!! cracking job..... it's all excellent, esp the thickness of the kitch cupboard doors...bet they sound nice when they close.....? I'll let the wife see it all........ I keep telling her she married an .....lol......

    Rage evolution mitre saw cut quality advice

    I just bought one from a house clearance...... the blade is new multi material sort and was suprised how good the cut was...... Even compared to my 305mm dia Dewalt with a 90 tooth blade.....which also gets occ use chopping up ally sections.... not good enough for picture frames but plenty good...

    Geoff_S..... rain noise is really not that bad when using insulated double skinned roofing sheets..... when it rains her it's torrential and no probs sleeping... it need little support which ever way u span ur shed..... most metal roof panels have a 25 year warranty.....fit and forget.....mine...

    or if they wont help u it's poss to flatten it urself by carefull sanding...... use a fat tipped felt tipped marker to mark the high spots.... then gradually reducing the prob..... a machine shop once set up will take just a few mins to machine the problem away.... In the old days it was done...

    prob a machined "GREEN" casting..... castings need to be allowed to settle, bit like drying green wood, for a good while..... relieve's internal stresses..... but who has time for that.....? leave it for a while, say a couple of months, indoors or out and then get it skimmed again...it'll be OK...

    Ollie78 pretty sure those fancy wheeled guides have offset bearings/wheels and some sorta spring arrangement....plus a one way clutch.... u prob know already...
