I just use a 14" x 8' wide off cut from a 19mm plywood sheet as my straight edge cutting guide.... I have a dedicated small Hitachi circ saw just for that job..... never need anything else.... a quick clean up with a plane for the longer stuff is all u need, same as a table saw finish...

is it all worth it...... not like a saw mill where ur cuttingmiles of the stuff...... now 74 and quite happy with the norm manuf speed....never needed more..... bit like Jeremy Clarckson......SPEED.....

for nuts n bolts that have a habit of coming loose use a little Blue locktite/ Screw Lock....there are stronger types but not in this case.....cheap.... in design said nuts n bolts are rarely a problem now esp as Left Hand threaded gear/Nylock nuts etc etc are redily available.... I suspect...

plus u can work em, *SM) for hours without going deaf.......

my VW, T4 is pre 2000 and NO electronics..... VW are known for rubbish wiring.....have a fault on the temp and oil senders....... all the wires are black....!!!!!!!!!. checked with an oil gauge etc....OK......in next few years will totally rewire it.....
