Advice on Ebay, PayPal and collection

I would be weary if you do not have contact name and address before you pay, I would get back in touch and say you are not allowed to do that, offer to pay them once you have seen the goods.

    New chuck question

I would go for the one with a back plate then if you change your lathe in the future you can change the back plate and keep the chuck.

Storage Units for the contents of my workshop??

Get some Silica gel crystals as well as covering up with oil or wax. Sell off any tools/machines you think you can let go and replace at a later date. And good luck for the future.

    Is this an eBay scam?

I would write to buyer and explain you cannot refund without going through e-bay request to do so, and as buyer returned items without e-bay they must stand cost to get them back.

    Myford Planer Restoration

I dug mine out of storage last year and cleaned it up, the way to get the bearing blocks out is so simple, you take out the grease nipple each end of the spindle and replace with a bolt once you have undone the grub screws you can pull them out. I hope this helps someone doing the same restore...

What was I thinking? Cut out of a very hard Mahogany but not sure what family it is, so hard it does not need a finish on it. And in the background is a very old tree turned to stone.
