Black & Decker Workmate - Do you?

I have one of the early aluminium ones with the galvanised step, I also have one of the workmate tool boxes, they have both been very handy, I did also get an Elu Superjaws great for holding doors, and you can turn the vise top around to hold sheet material, and used them together on many jobs.

Sorry looks like I do not have the 3/4 -16 anymore I have let a lot go over the last couple of years. You should be able to find one on e-bay, the threads do need reforming to make it easy to get chuck/faceplate on.

Is this too big for my lathe?

Is the face plate a screw on? Any means of locking it on so it does not unscrew itself

Is this too big for my lathe?

As your lathe is 3 phase you might be able to fit a VFD so you could vary the speed, If you do turn it on with that lump on stand well back out of range we don't want to hear of any miss guided missiles flying about.

Is this too big for my lathe?

Shan, Do you have any speed control on your lathe? the 1HP should not be a problem but speed could be.

    Changing door hardware

If the doors have been dipped to strip then you need to hang them soon as possible and keep them closed as much as you can until acclimatised.

    Changing door hardware

Be prepared for doors moving after they come back from striping, always keep them closed for a while to stop any twist.
