My sanded brass inlays have turned white/silver

Well it say's solid brass on the advert, when you make a saw cut through it can you see the bright brass colour or the white with a yellow coating round the edge. I have worked with a lot of brass and never seen it go white naturally.

    Widest 1/4 inch router bit

    16er inserts?

Chailatte: telling someone "Most of the time, near enough really is good enough." is just not on we should ALL stride to do the BEST, that kind of attitude is why we have a big mess in this country.

    16er inserts?

ER16 are collets the designation 1.5 - 2 means it will hold round bar between 1.5mm and 2mm it has nothing to do with thread pitches. what lathe do you have and does it have a chuck? Edit: just re-read you are after 16er thread cutting inserts then yes you need an insert for each thread pitch.

    Angle Grinder Direction of Rotation

Think of using a lathe if you wind the chuck on clockwise then turn on the power the chuck rotates Towards you and lock it'self on the shaft, but if you put the lathe in reverse going Away from you, you risk the chuck flying off and giving you a good slap in the face if your not a lucky person.

    Angle Grinder Direction of Rotation

If the locking nut is Right hand thread the disk should be on the Left or you risk the disk coming loose and cut down the front of the materiel forcing sparks to go down not at you.
