    Use some WD 40 to soak for an hour and you will find it helps. If you can find a local Snap-On van get a set of driver bits off them you pay a bit more but they have a no quibble exchange if they break

    Oak ledged doors, where to put strap hinges

    If not framed then just the same the strap hinges fit on the ledges as the ledges are made to the edge of the door but with an end chamfer. And yes or coarse fitting hinges does depend if opening in or out, but always fit them so the braces sit from the hinge as in the image.

    A Mt2 drill chuck is meant to have pressure applied vertically in a bench drill this holds the chuck in the spindle. The very same if used in the tailstock of a lathe.
