    More price increases

I spoke to a mate of mine yesterday who has a CNC business, and he told me his supplier of Medite had told him that exact percentage as well....!!

    Vacuum hose connector

Which vac is it off...? I needed a new vac end for the hose on my Numatic "Charles" and ordered it directly from Numatic. Just contact the manufacturer of the vac and they should sort one out for you.

    Birch ply warping/ underfloor heating.

If I'm ever designing and installing a kitchen in a new build property, I always stipulate that no under floor heating is to be installed directly under where any of my cabinets are going to be fitted. I did install one once as I was invited to quote for the job a long time after the under...

    Festool CTL26E Question

Most houses in the US do have 220v into the consumer unit but the majority of people dont have a 220v circuit installed in the property. I can assure you, a lot of woodworkers do tap into the 220v supply for their machines that require 220v.

    Festool CTL26E Question

They do have 220v in North America!!....And obviously I wasn't suggesting running 220v/240v tools off a 110v supply Dan........Give me a bit of credit. The reason I mentioned 240v was purely because of what it states on my UK 240v Systainer cases. I dont think the reason it states...

    Festool CTL26E Question

I dont know if this helps you or not, but I have a number of Festool tools (all 240v and battery tools with 240v chargers) and quite a few of them have " Not for use in North America " on the systainer label....??!! My opinion is, it is to do with the moulded plug that comes with all there...

    Festool itch

Unfortunately, there is always someone down the pub, for example, that will buy tools knowing that they are likely to have been stolen.....The lowest of the low in my opinion.....

    Festool itch

....On that basis then, in your opinion, all tradesmen should only be buying Parkside graded tools due to the fact that all genuine quality tools will eventually get stolen by scumbags..??....Oh, how I wish someone had told me that 39 years ago when I bought my first Elu router.....I could of...

    Who else thinks this?

.....Does anyone remember Phillips Video 2000....??? It went the way of the Dodo pretty soon after it was introduced but my mates parents had one and finding a tape in that format for their machine from the video shop was rather a narrow selection....

Jet JWBS-16 Bandsaw - electrical issues

That was exactly what I was thinking Gordon.....Its not going to cost too much for a motor specialist to take a look at it and give it a proper test to check the windings themselves. Even if the worst comes to the worst and they state its knackered, at least you would know for certain!

Jet JWBS-16 Bandsaw - electrical issues

@kmcleod Have you enquired with any company as to the cost of having the motor repaired/ rewound...? You may be pleasantly surprised..... Potentially, it is likely to be more economical than buying a complete new motor...? It would certainly be my first choice if I was in your position. Its...

Jet JWBS-16 Bandsaw - electrical issues

They used to be down near the Quay but moved from those premises quite a few years back....Not too sure of their current location but still in the town somewhere. I've had them repair a couple of electrical tools for me a long time ago when they were at that previous location. It's got to make...
