    Importing machinery UK to Ireland

Yeah he takes orders for large items if you were to purchase them so to ship something there wouldn't be much different. It costs £5 an item though for him to take the delivery and store it but he can hold it for a good while. He's a nice fella to deal with

    Importing machinery UK to Ireland

If you don't want to transport it across yourself you could get it shipped to Spacehub in Derry. I use there a lot for buying from the UK. Good luck in Galway I work there myself. I don't know of any cabinet making workshops in Galway but I'm sure there are some around you just have to look...

    Axminster Planer Thicknesser Issue

The fence system for these p/ts isn't great anyway and aren't meant for very precise work. I do have the record version and the bracket system on mine fell to pieces so I made my own and to get it square it required a lot of shims and another long piece of timber nearly the length and height of...

    Table saw buying advice

I have had the Laguna saw for over 2 years now and it was a major upgrade regarding quick change features and accuracy compared to a previous SIP machine which I had. I believe the SIP and Axminster machines are very similar and made in the same factory with the same erks that I hated. I cannot...

There are 4 bolts with springs underneath the blade on both side of the thicknesser bed in the frame of the machine. These bolts go into 4 plastic bearings you could call them that hold the feed rollers. I know all about them I had to make one yesterday. You can loosen or tighten these bolts to...

cheap PVC flexible ducting for extraction?

I have also been looking for dust extraction piping recently. I looked at the manrose piping too because it was cheap but they don't sell y junctions and they will shoot up the price of your system if you buy them seperatly from a woodworking shop. I found that 4" sewer pipe and fittings worked...

I am currently saving up for a new planer thicknesser and I looked at quite a lot a the different brands and the sizes. I have a 260 record at the moment I bought second hand but it has too many problems. I have found a few times that I've had to use different ways of flattening pieces or to...

    Bandsaw Blowing Fuses

Also just something else to note when making the pulley wheel I had some issues at the beginning with the belt slipping when starting its quite fast so I added some stixall to the birch ply pulley to add grip and also tightened the belt tension, I don't get slippage anymore but the belt might be...

    Bandsaw Blowing Fuses

Thanks for all your replies sorry I'm a bit late replying I've been busy at work. I bought the motor brand new this time last year https://www.electrotechdrives.co.uk/product/1-5kw-2-hp-2800rpm-240v-electric-motor-single-phase/ I'm presume the capacitor is good because once the fuse is changed...

It has a 2hp single phase motor wired to a nvr switch The first time it blew the fuse was on startup it kicked for a second...
