Bandsaw dust extraction that actually works - 85% efficient!

I read EtV's idea of surrounding the blade with interest. Definitely a good idea, but I had a substantial piece of steel right up against the blade (<5mm away) which rendered that idea unviable. Today I took another look. I thought that that piece of steel supported the lower guide assembly, but...

You are not missing anything. It is completely redundant, which is why I had no qualms aout removing it.

Where else could you get from bandsaws to Babycham in less than a page?

Bandsaw dust extraction that actually works - 85% efficient!

I might actually do that, but I was trying to keep the angles to a minimum. I could make a longer nozzle, it's not all welded together, even though I did buy a can of solvent adhesive. Actually I could try that. Swap the corners over. Hmm.

Reports are now CONFIRMED that Steve Maskery, of Kirkby-in-Ashfield has been seen removing part of his bandsaw lower guard by drilling out the fixing rivets with a cheap Aldi cordless drill. When asked to justify this behaviour he initially claimed that it was to test his eyesight, but later...

We are unable to verify this at this time, due to the difficulties of getting our independent reporter to the scene and be COVID-safe, but a...

    T-7000 adhesive

Thanks Phil Actually I'm through with buying direct from China. When it works, it's fine (assuming you are not in a hurry), but it takes only one purchase to go wrong and you are left with a hole in your pocket and a sour taste in your mouth. Back in the summer I bought something. It was never...

    T-7000 adhesive

At least they can spell "separately" properly, so they can't be all bad. And by the way, it is actually black.

Has anybody here tried this? I have a few pinhole voids in the catspaws of my pippy oak dining table. They are generally too small to fill conventionally, especially now that I have finished the top... So I thought I might try dropping in some CA glue. I saw a listing on eBay. I wasn't sure...
