Cutting Glass with a Diamond Disc?

Hi steve, GOGGLES! beyond that, how much needs to come off? I remember years ago watching a hotrod program where they cut down a toughened windscreen with a sandblaster, with a steel plate shaped to the new size, covering the windscreen from damage ( acting as a template ) It took a while i...

    Dowelmax, Jessem and XL700

You could always sell the domino, they go well. Eventually I'd like to get a 500 for mainly carcass construction doing built in units etc. From what i gather ( never used one ) you set the first mating holes very carefully so it aligns well, then the others on sloppy setting. Whilst there will...

    SIP Planer Thicknesser won't start!

Fuse will be in the plug. Theres often a relay switch which could have failed. Do you have a multimeter to see where the electric gets to? On a dewalt i had, i took the cover off the electrics and i was able to test switch setup. It had a little press in button which made the planer fire up...

Contrasting timber for brown oak sideboard?

Great, thanks. I'll have to try to remember next year 🤣 i often pass through that way when i go see family. If the timber is nicely figured or in some way more unique, its worth whatever you are happy to pay. Some pieces can look so good it's like art 🙃

    Milling ash logs

Scheppach HMS 260 (new to me) - Cutter Block Problems

I just did a quick google, found a replacement spiral block, but expensive. Id take the whole cutter block out and find a local engineer. Theyll probably remove the bolts, re_drill and tap to a bigger size. Or those helicoils if appropriate?

    Dirty Pro Bandsaw Tyre Replacement

It should work just fine, but I'd buy a pair od new tyres because when you need to remove the one you glued to the wheel...... Just measure the wheels, they'll be 10" or 12" etc and make sure you match the tyre thickness and width

    Sandwiching 2 12mm Mdf panels

It also depends on the mrmdf. Is it caberwood trade or pro? Medite ? Pro and medite are better to machine and finish due to higher resin than in the cheaper trade sheets, which are fluffy when cut

    Crumbling cement floor in workshop

Well you could pour a 10mm layer of epoxy over the exposed area, just put a little barrier around the edges you cant go under, sealed with silicone. That'd 'probably' be thick enough to resist breaking and it'll be fully supported by the weaker stuff underneath. As for ply, like i said, itd be...

What to do with unwanted tools

Hi, sorry for your loss, hope you are doing ok. Theres a for sale section on the forum, or the usual, gumtree and ebay, maybe faceache Youd be best off researching each machine to find current prices. You could post photos in this thread for people to give their opinion, but this isnt the sale...
