Withdrawn Lie Nielsen Bevel Edge Chisels

I have the following for sale in as new condition. They have seen very little use (I've been doing more power tool work recently), and are in pristine condition. The 1/4" and 1" are boxed, if I can find the other boxes (I have them somewhere) then those will be included too. 1/4" 3/8" 1/2"...

    Which 3d printer - 2023 edition

This is pretty much why i am going down the Bambu route. If you enjoy this kind of tinkering, then fairplay to you. Personally , I am happy to pay a few £ and have something working out of the box. After a review of my workshop, and establishing a suitable location. One that means the PC that...

    Late in life career shift

HI Pete, I've also worked in IT for the last 30 ish years. I got into woodworking about 7-8 years ago to get away from the desk and push myself to learn new (non-IT) skills. Just before covid, and during it, I spent a heap of time making my home office furniture, easily the biggest build I've...

    Which 3d printer - 2023 edition

Thanks @sploo that's a ton of useful information. One of the things I find attractive about the P1P, is printing straight out of the box. I'm not looking to tinker with whatever I buy. From what I have seen so far, there have been little to no complaints on initial setup. It's print speeds...

    Which 3d printer - 2023 edition

Currently considering which 3d printer to buy. There are a few new printers around since similar older threads were created. What would people recommend ? Budget up to £750 Does anyone have experience of the Bambu Lab P1P? That is what is currently catching my eye.

    Hobby Woodworker in Dudley

Hi Gary, Welcome to the forum. What things are you planning to make? Also (although he is a bit marmite around these parts) have a look for Paul Sellars on YT. There are also a few videos from @Peter Sefton too - and he isn't too far from you and has a tool show coming up soon - Wood Workers...

    Plane Irons and ProEdge

@Lonsdale73 I've done this and as @Duncan A says you will need to hone afterward. I still wasn't satisfied, so now i use the PE when i need to regrind the primary bevel and then hand sharpen from there.

    Grass

Just bought the grass seed for my overseeding - I also went for a shady mixture - garden runs ~ east to west so one side sees very little sun in the shade of the fence. Typical that as I got home ready to do the hollow tine and 2nd scarify the heavens opened. Oh well, i'll just have to spend...

    Grass

Send us a pick @baldkev - it speaks a thousand words. For reference , this was a new build 22 years ago - with hindsight i would have dug it up!!!! I did pay "in bacon sandwiches" the guys that laid the lawn, but they did a minimal job, and I have always been battling against this

    Grass

well that spurred me on. Just had a couple of hours on the lawn, cutting, light scarify, weed/feed/moss kill. Plan is to hollow tine and then heavy scarify next week, followed by top dress and overseed. Also +1 for Daniel Hibbert too.

    Grass

loads of videos on youtube at the minute @baldkev . the usual treatment at this time of year is to kill off the moss with iron sulphate, scarify, topdress and overseed. If you do have soil compaction you might want to hollow tine the lawn before you topdress. This is much different to spiking as...

    Axminster (disappointing) Sale

Some of the deals are pretty good, £63 off a lathe, £195 off a drum sander, £100 off their little table saw, £100 off Radial arm Pillar drill etc. I appreciate they may not have many deals that you may want @ScaredyCat , but for anyone looking at the above, then a good 20-25% saving can be had...

    CNC Software

Thanks for all the responses, its good to see what others are using. I started using Carveco as I got a 3 month free trial when I bought the prover4030xl. It's OK, but i find drawing in it more laborious than using sketch up. Maybe I'm being a bit picky. I'm also a total noob. & i probably...

    CNC Software

As I'm starting to get to grips with my Proverxl4030 CNC machine, I wondered what other CNC users are using software wise. For my woodwork projects I've always used skethchup and ideally I would have had something similar, or even output from sketchup. I had a quick play with Easel, and then...
