    Plywood biscuits ?

The reason I like to use them is not for extra strength but they are all of a consistent thickness unlike the solid wood ones I have used in the past.

    Plywood biscuits ?

I have been using Silverline ones that are ply wood. It has been a while since I purchased any but on line listings all say they are made of compressed laminated hardwood so I assume that is plywood and they are still the same as the ones I have.

    Clarke 16" Scroll Saw - CSS400D - Can I use universal blades?

I have come to the conclusion that it is rarely worth the time to respond to new members questions as they very often never respond to the replies. The point I was trying to make is that the first thing to do is find out is if the saw can take pinless blades before giving advice on blade types...

The living hell of dust extraction diameters

I have in the past responded to threads like this with an easy solution but with no response. My solution to this problem is explained in the following thread. Take it or leave it as you wish but I don't have the problem that many of you seem to have...

    Clarke 16" Scroll Saw - CSS400D - Can I use universal blades?

I think that the op is asking if it is possible to use pinless blades in his saw and not for information about blades.

Talking myself out of buying premium tools

If you have the money and the desire to own a full set of tools then just buy anything you want. When starting out you don't need a full set of tools and if you go down the second hand route it could take a long time to build up even the most basic kit. In my opinion just buy the mid price tools...

Is it time for a table saw?

If you want a table saw just buy one but you don't need one for this job, a hand held saw with a basic fence is far more suited for that sort of thing.

Festool TKS 80 table top, is this acceptable?

Thing is it makes no difference what brand it is or how much it cost it is a site saw. If it does not meet your expectations send it back but do a lot more research before you buy a replacement.

    New Inca Bandsaw

I use waste pipe and 2 car steering gaiters for my dust extraction.

    New Inca Bandsaw

If the blades you have got tension up on the saw then they are the correct size. Personally I don't think that aluminium is the right material for a riving knife and would not cut metal of any type on a wood cutting bandsaw.

    Electric vehicles

Vehicle manufactures must be loving all this. They will no longer have to produce engines with 100's of precision parts and will no longer have to do any more engine development. They will no longer have to produce gearboxes with 100's of precision parts also no clutch. They seem to be able to...

    Electric vehicles

In the UK a Toyota Prius is a hybrid car that will do 50 miles to the gallon but only if you also charge up the battery that it has along with a petrol engine so all of a sudden it does not seem very environmentally friendly. Way back in the 1990's Ford were developing lean burn engines with...

    Electric vehicles

I have no idea what goes on in the US I am referring to the UK and Europe. In the past all new petrol cars had to be fitted with cats that simply done work in the UK or most of Europe and only increase fuel consumption this was done to protect the German car industry that rely on sales to the US...

    Electric vehicles

Well 76 pages in and I have to say I have not read them all but I think that this push for EV cars is more stupid than the compulsory fitting of cats on European petrol cars and the push for everybody to buy diesel cars in the past. The way that the environmental impact of cars is worked out in...

    Buying a Tracksaw

Sorry to pee on your fire but I think that you will find that B&Q have advertised that price but out of interest I looked and the item is not available for home delivery and even though I live near to one of the largest B&Q in the country it shows no stock and also no stock in any nearby store.

    Lidl DIY tools 6th June

If those are your first attempts at welding with the cheapest machine on the planet it shows how much understanding you have of what you are doing and how good the machine is. Give it a bit more practice and you will be well sorted.
