    Dust Port Reducers

I have in the past suggested that the best way to connect different size hoses to different size outlets is to use universal steering rack gaiters and universal CV boots. It is how i connect my tools and works perfectly for me.

    Band saw Blade drift

Not really, there are many ways to sharpen a blade but only two ways to set up a bandsaw depending if the wheels are crowned or flat.

    Band saw Blade drift

I have a small Inca and a larger Kity 613. Both have flat wheels and both run well with the blade running with the teeth just overhanging the front of the wheels. If you have a bandsaw with crowned wheels you need to set it up with the middle of the blade running at the top of the crown and not...

    Hegner Niqua blades.

Are the blades from Hegner the same blades that hobbies supply? My reason for asking is that i would rather help support a small UK based business.

Lidl Plunge Saw - Extra Track

I purchased the Parkside track saw when they were last on offer a year ago and have made do with the tracks it came with by sliding them along. If extra tracks are available at the price you are saying i would buy more, please keep us informed how you get on.

    At last we have rain.

Although over the last few weeks i have been working on outside projects and it has been good that the weather has been dry our garden has started to suffer and it is nice to finally have some significant rain today.

    Now I'm happy

How did you overcome the problem of the chuck not lining up with the hole in the table?

    Cyclone duct adapter kits

I use car CV boots and steering rack gaiters and can connect any diameter to any diameter with a flexible connection.

    I'm not 'appy

I am in no way suggesting that you have not had the problems you have discribed but it is strange that nobody else has responded having had the same issues.

Your best and worst power tool purchases

My best ever purchases were my Kity combination machine ,Inca bandsaw and Dewalt radial arm saw all purchased in the 1980's and at the time were very expensive but to this day still work faultlessly and give me emence pleasure. Sadly i now have to accept that i no longer need tools that will...

B&Q delivery date turned out to be fiction

Are you now going to start the same process with a different supplier or could it be that you have changed your mind and that is why you are so worried about your refund?

This is all Random Orbital Bob's fault...

Gardening is a bit like woodworking, you can buy the stuff cheaper but there is not much satisfaction in that. As well as gardening we keep chickens and if you take all the costs and time involved it's crazy but going out in the morning to collect your breakfast eggs and lunch time salad and...

B&Q delivery date turned out to be fiction

As part of my ongoing project to reduce the size of my workshop i needed some items to complete the roof. None of the local suppliers had them in stock but via the internet i found a stockist 25 miles away who assured me that according to the computer they had 5 in stock i needed 2 so with cash...

B&Q delivery date turned out to be fiction

My attitude may be different to many other posters i ran my own business for over 40 years and i know no matter how hard you try things can and do go wrong.

Anybody live next to a railway line?

Strangely enough having done my research l purchased that product a couple of days ago. I have been involved in a massive diy project for the last couple of years and when i first noticed the problem i put it down to dust from that building work but it has become apparent that it is dust from...

B&Q delivery date turned out to be fiction

Your attitude may or not be right that is for you to decide but i have come to the conclusion that if trawling the internet for the lowest price you need to factor in that things may not go as well as they might have if you had paid slightly more to a local supplier.

Anybody live next to a railway line?

Thanks for the replies. Having done some research it does seem that this is in fact a common problem l am surprised that in all the years we have lived on the same site i have not noticed it until we now park 5mts nearer the tracks. I think that i will have to wash and polish a bit more often.

Anybody live next to a railway line?

We have lived with a main railway behind our property for over 30 years without problem. However having built a new house in the garden of our old house we now park our vehicles much nearer to the tracks than we used to and have now noticed that they are getting covered in metal dust. Anybody...

    Fencing/Trellis Demolition

If you can reposision the posts that is the best option. As for tools all i will say is that part of our project of building a new house in the garden of our last house i had to build a fence that involved putting in 30 posts into challenging ground and although many members on here will find...

    Lidl Track Saw

Having had this track saw for over a year when they were last on offer all i would say is it is amazing. At the time there was a lot of comments that the track was to short but if it was longer it would not be a £70 saw and l would not own it. I have no problems sliding the track along for...
