Are you not aware that we are not supposed to mention Aldi or Lidl tools on here? I for one will be there at opening time for the clamps, drill and belt sander.

    Cost of housebuilding

If you have taken in all the costs that have nothing to do with the build but add to the price it is amazing that you came in at your costing per sq mt.

    Cost of housebuilding

We have just gone through the process of having a house built in the garden of our previous house and could help you with our experience. You will never build a house at the prices quoted unless you are prepared to do much of the work yourself and the costs involved that have a nothing to do...

    Faithfull no5 jack plane review

I wouldn't expect tools at this price to meet the expectations of professional furniture makers but for most of us they are perfectly acceptable.

    Remote control air filter

My simple question was is it not better to have an air flow in a downward direction rather than upwards.

    Remote control air filter

It's just another level of extraction. I extract at source and wear an air mask, but some still gets in the air, as all the dust in the filter attests. I think this argument has been done to death. My Record was obtained from D&M Tools and for £160, if it only removes 10% of the dust that...

    Remote control air filter

I may be missing something but could anyone explain to me the point of hanging a fine dust filter from the ceiling when the dust is produced below your elbows and has to pass your nose to get to the filter.

    How Much Does Woodworking Cost?

It depends on if you are woodworking for fun or profit. The man with the factory who has £100'000 of equipment is very different to the guy in his small shed who wants some fun and make basic things that give him pleasure.

    Festool Hose Alternative

Just buy a universal steering rack gaiter and you can fit any size hose to any size tool outlet.

    planer blades

Not according to my price list. Get a price from a sealey distributor because sealey will never undercut the price that their stockist sell for.

    Rutlands Aluminium sash clamps

The clamps are fine for general woodworking but don't expect them to help erect an Oak framed building.

    Aldi clamps.

Squeze the clamping lever while pressing the button.

    Good alternatives to Tuffsaws?

I don't think you need to feel a prat for digging up this old thread but i do think that people need to have contact with their suppliers before putting negative comments on the internet. I also think that with all the positive comments that tuffsaws gets on here they should have a bit of...
