    Inca bandsaw

That along with the fact that the switch is out of sight round the side is a bit of an odd design but you get used to it.

    Inca bandsaw

The blade length for the Inca saw is 1850mm or 73". I have used blades from several suppliers over the years and I can only say that from my experience the blades from Beaverstock Ltd are far and away the best I have ever used. http://beverstocksaws.com/ In the Inca saw I use 1/4 4 tpi blades...

    Inca bandsaw

The tyres on an Inca saw are hard and should be. The blade should run with the teeth running just in front of the wheels, you would not be able to achieve that with soft tyres.

Recommendations for tracksaw and router upgrades

The Trend starter kits are very good value and if you destroy 1 of them with a lot of use you can then replace it with a bit of better quality. There is no point in having a selection of high quality bits most you will never use.

Recommendations for tracksaw and router upgrades

I don't have a problem with joining shorter tracks together to make a long track. I purchased 2 extra lengths of 700mm track for my Parkside tracksaw for £20 delivered including a joiner strip. I have 2 tracks permanently joined together with a strip of hard wood, I can add 1 or 2 extra tracks...

    Help workshop destroyed

First thing I would say is that I am sorry to hear that through no fault of your own you may well lose your job. The next thing I would say that may well sound a bit brutal is that is no way you will be able to start a business of your own on your own that is the same as the business that your...

    Wet Wood & Coal

Well that is not anything like our experience of our Clearveiw stove it does have separate controls for wood or smokeless fuel. We are now into our 5th winter of using it and we have had no maintenance costs at all.

    Wet Wood & Coal

I along with most of us I assume create over the course of a year a lot of dry timber offcuts so when we had a new house built in 2015 we had a proper chimney incorporated into the build and a Clearveiw multi fuel stove fitted into the corner of our L shape kitchen diner inorder to use up...

    Panel glue up

Farmer Giles did a recent review on those clamps and he seems to be happy with them. Personally I just clamp a length of 40x40 box section steel over both sides of the panel and use normal sash clamps to pull them together.

    Midlands Woodworking Show 2020

I hadn't been to a woodwork show for many years so last year I decided I would have a day out at the Midlands show. From my house in Bedfordshire to Newark is a 200 mile round trip but it is an easy journey up the A1 but was almost a 4 hour round trip. I did enjoy my day and think I may well go...

    Electric vehicles

Given that we know from experience that a modern petrol engine up to about 1500cc running on modern fuel and lubricant with minimal maintenance is good for about 200.000 miles do we have any reliable information on how long the motor in an ev will last?

    0.5mm pencil leads.

Many thanks for the replies, As an update to my situation I went into Tesco today to buy the wife a bunch of flowers for tomorrow and while I was there I looked at their pencils. They had a pack of 10 mechanical pencils with 0.7 mm leads for £1.50 I thought they were worth a go and they are...

    Lidl pillar drill

I cant comment on the pillar drill but I can tell you that the air wedges are an absolute bargain. I have had mine I think for about 2 years and would recommend them to anybody.

    0.5mm pencil leads.

Last Christmas instead of having the family look at me on Christmas day as has happened in the past saying we never know what to buy you so you have got more socks and a box of sweets I asked them all to club together and buy me a set of 3 Incra T rules and a couple of Incra pencils . I have to...

The Ups and Downs ...mainly Downs..of selling a flat.

I would assume that the fact that you seem upset by what TN said you wear a suit and are a professional of some sort. I also assume that you intended to say ( If you dont have time to write an apology after an insult then just delete the insult instead) the fact that you didnt kind of proves the...

It's not unusual for me to miss the point but what connection does that video have to the late Niki?

    radial arm saw advice

Welcome to the world of the radial arm saw. I can't help with the model number, mine is a DW125 but the basic principles for all models are the same. My advice would be forget the blade on the bench it is to fine for all but the thinnest material. The blade on the machine looks to be about the...

    Stanley No80 scraper plane blade.

I fail to see I am wrong. As I said I have a set of card scrapers and all are to thin to clamp into the no80 I was talking about my card scrapers and not yours. As an update I phoned Chronos this morning and even though the Veritas spare blade is listed on their website they don't have any...
