    inca 260 bandsaw

I have done a few trials today and without doubt extraction works better under the table like yours than at the bottom of the saw the way I had it. When I have finished I will post a photo of what I have done.

INCRA Tiny T-Rule and Bend Rule Pass Around

Last Christmas the grand children clubbed together to buy me the set of 3 of these. Without doubt this small one is the one I use the most and would recommend it to anybody.

    inca 260 bandsaw

The dust extraction is a bit work in progress. I didn't want to make any permanent modifications to it so I have used 2 car steering rack gaiters that fit inside the holes at the bottom of the saw connected to the shop vac with some plumbing fittings. It is an improvement but is by no means a...

    inca 260 bandsaw

Today I found the time to look into the problem and stripped out the height adjusting leg and found that there was a lot of compressed saw dust in there. I cleaned that off and lubricated it and it now works better than it has for a long time.

    Fence covering

It would be interesting to see a photo of the old fence. I would prefer the new fence to a 3ft high see through picket fence but I like some privacy in my garden. We put up a similar fence in our garden and the wife hated it in the end I painted it black including the posts and it has...

Lack of Woodworking programs on TV

I don't think that mainstream tv is the place to expect to find useful woodworking info, there is however a massive amount of good quality woodworking vids on youtube.

What tool(s) would you buy for £200?

My advice would be to just buy the tools that you will need to complete the next project you want to make.

    Resin filled table tops

bowmaster many thanks for posting that. When I first saw the resin tables I had no interest in making one but I did think that the process had potential to add interest to smaller items and I can see that it could transform items made on the scroll saw. Your input has given me food for thought...

    Resin filled table tops

I am not thinking of making a full size table my workshop and machines are not big enough and I have no need for one but I do think that there could be potential in using the same process in making small boxes to add some interest.

    Resin filled table tops

I have come across a guy on youtube who takes slabs of wood cut from the full length of tree trunks that have splits in them almost running the full length. He fill the splits with resin and makes table tops from them. They look amazing but my question is won't the wood move over time and crack...

    Garden gate advice!

Nice looking well made gates. In my opinion with the type of hinges you are going to use and how sturdy you have made them you will not need to brace then

    Pedestal Drill - replacement Chuck

Others may not agree but I don't like a keyless chuck in a pillar drill. you need two hands to tighten the chuck and another to hold the drill in place. I would try and find a keyed chuck.

    Kity k5 (i think 😁)

That's good news thanks for coming back to the thread to let us know. Your machine looks to be in reasonable condition and I hope that you get as much satisfaction and enjoyment from it over the coming years as I had from mine over the years. Just to add a photo of my machine as you can see it...

    Kity k5 (i think 😁)

Getting the manuals from heronveiwer will be a great help you have the makings of a great little machine there but everything needs to be set up properly to get the best from it, Getting back to the table saw belt it seems you have the correct size belt and pulley and you understand that the...

Replace table saw with bandsaw and track saw.

If you are cutting 8x4 sheets on your table saw you don't seem to be short of space. I have a track saw, table saw and a band saw they all have different uses and I would not want to be without any of them. If you use the track saw for cutting sheet goods that may free up enough floor space to...

    fence paint

In truth I don't know the fence was just part of a much larger project. I clad the side of an old industrial building and painted that using 1 thin coat followed by 1 coat straight of the can and I did use a lot of paint. Having done that the new fence finished in fence brown with concrete posts...

    fence paint

I painted a new fence black with Bedec barn paint and have been very happy with the result. As the panels were already treated and I only wanted a colour change I thined the paint down with 30% water and after 4 years I have had no problems. Bear in mind that if you are going to paint only 1...
