Is it not possible to get it welded back together?

I have done a few trials today and without doubt extraction works better under the table like yours than at the bottom of the saw the way I had it. When I have finished I will post a photo of what I have done.

Today I found the time to look into the problem and stripped out the height adjusting leg and found that there was a lot of compressed saw dust in there. I cleaned that off and lubricated it and it now works better than it has for a long time.

I don't think that mainstream tv is the place to expect to find useful woodworking info, there is however a massive amount of good quality woodworking vids on youtube.

My advice would be to just buy the tools that you will need to complete the next project you want to make.

bowmaster many thanks for posting that. When I first saw the resin tables I had no interest in making one but I did think that the process had potential to add interest to smaller items and I can see that it could transform items made on the scroll saw. Your input has given me food for thought...

I am not thinking of making a full size table my workshop and machines are not big enough and I have no need for one but I do think that there could be potential in using the same process in making small boxes to add some interest.

Others may not agree but I don't like a keyless chuck in a pillar drill. you need two hands to tighten the chuck and another to hold the drill in place. I would try and find a keyed chuck.
