    Where are they now?

I never understood what happened but I think it is fair to say that nobody has left but a group of like minded people no longer post on this forum but I would think that most of them view the forum from time to time. Some of them I miss and some I don't but I think that as time goes by this...

    Customs declarations and brexit

I am well aware of what the situation was at the time but if the UK had given a mandate to remain within the EU that would have been the ideal time for things to change.

    Customs declarations and brexit

Someone suggested that all vaccines were a product of the EU and I was pointing out that the AZ vax was a product developed in the UK with UK finance and is being made in a factory in the EU that has been given funding to expand production to supply the UK. I did not suggest that the EU have...

    Customs declarations and brexit

The EU have not been shy in stating their ultimate aim and that would not be possible unless all members had a joint currency.

    Customs declarations and brexit

First tangible benefit is that we haven't been forced to join the Euro. There is no doubt in my mind if we had voted remain we would have been forced to join the Euro project. Second tangible benefit is that we have no responsibility for the huge amounts of money the EU have borrowed on the...

    Customs declarations and brexit

The AZ vaccine was developed by Oxford uni with funds given by the UK government and is being produced in an AZ factory in the EU that was given a large investment from the UK on condition that the UK was supplied with the production. This was a normal investment with a private company and the...

    One-*** efficacy questions

All I can say is that I think that we are all confused but the main stats show that since to vax roll out started all the bad news seems to have gone down to a low level. I am happy to say that today I have had my second *** and I accept that I could still get covid but assume that it would not...

    Woodworking Youtubers

I think that I must be a lot different to most of you in that I don't subscribe to any youtube channels but just search youtube for things I want to know at the time. I don't think that I have ever come across a channel that I would want to watch all the content just for entertainment.

    Customs declarations and brexit

Sorry to spoil your anti Brexit thread but the Channel Islands are not in the EU if you want to avoid this sort of problem you need to exclude all international sales from your ebay sales.

    Best vintage manual hand drill

I have never in my life drilled a hole into anything to hang a picture. Most pound shops and the like sell a picture hanging kit that will give you many options for various applications for very little money.

More Parkside rubbish! This time, a cordless chainsaw that's actually an Einhell

I have a few Parkside tools and have not been disappointed with any of them. I don't need a chainsaw but I would point out that the lidl one comes with an Origan chain and bar.

    We are hiring

To me having retired from the independent motor trade a few years ago the job description just sounds to me like an average days work.

    Best vintage manual hand drill

In truth if all you want to do at the moment is to fix some picture hooks into wood just buy the type that are fixed with nails.

    First import from the EU

For many reasons we are going through a period of massive change that will take a while for things to settle down. All I can say is that with all that has happened over the last few months I am happy to live in the UK outside of the EU.

A new Pegas 16" Scroll Saw from Dictum

A few years ago I did a lot of scrolling but not so much now. At the time I tried to buy a Pegas saw but could not find a UK supplier I did not like the Axminster version due mainly to the colour I know that will sound strange but woodworking machines in white just seems wrong to me. I am...
