    New computer spec?

Do any of you computer experts have an opinion on a Chromebook for home users or do you have no experience and are unable to comment?

    New computer spec?

I would suggest that as an average home computer user you do some research on Chromebooks. We no longer have a pc of any type having now gone over to a Chromebook and I don't think we miss anything we had but are pleased with the lack of issues we now have.

Workshop build - Insulated panels ?

There is a channel on you tube called Restoration Couple and the guy has almost finished a workshop build using the same panels it seems like a good solution and would be well worth a watch of his videos showing his progress.

    ebay/PayPal holding account. any Scams?

You are right to be cautious Ebay do not have a facility to buy something after your approval and Paypal don't have a facility for you to pay and only send funds after your approval. If you really want it tell the seller that you will collect and pay at the same time if that becomes a problem...

How to tension a Kity 613 bandsaw

To be honest if when you turn it on it runs the way Kity say it should I would think you have got it sorted. If you need new tyres you would know by having bits missing.

    Sneaky Amazon

The things I find sneaky about Amazon is that every time you buy something the default setting is that you sign up to Prime and you have to change that yourself and the other thing is that orders over £20 sent from Amazon are free delivery but the default on the payment page always is plus...

How to use push sticks to cut wood safely on a table saw.

I don't expect any replies to this post but out of interest I am wondering what you guys who advocate using 2 flimsy pushsticks to control the wood over your table saw what do you use to control the wood over your planer?

    Dremel Footswitch

This is what I have on my scroll saw. https://www.amazon.co.uk/DC220v-Pedal-Switch-Anti-slip-Momentary/dp/B083HVBLF4/ref=sr_1_19?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Foot+Switches&qid=1618940848&s=industrial&sr=1-19&ts_id=10256328031 As said above I fitted mine in an extension lead and I...

How to use push sticks to cut wood safely on a table saw.

I am not trying to be a smart arse here I am just trying to suggest that in my opinion there is no 1 solution to all situations on all table saws. For those who have asked I have included a photo some of the solutions for most of the cuts I am likely to make on my small Kity table saw I think...

How to use push sticks to cut wood safely on a table saw.

I'm sorry but I am going to dispute that. If anybody tries to cut lets say a 600x600 sheet of ply in half using those push sticks they may end up having to put their underwear in the wash before the end of the day. The first priority in table safety is to make certain that the saw is set up as...

How to use push sticks to cut wood safely on a table saw.

There are so many variables when using a table saw safely I just think that it is plain wrong to give out the impression that using 2 push sticks of not the best design will enable you to use the saw in complete safety.

Picked up a woodster 2 (Inca euro 260) today

I t looks like an Inca but the blade guide is different to mine. The 2 spare holes in the photo are for the blade guard screws but I have taken that off for the moment there is no place for that extra bit to fit on mine.

How to use push sticks to cut wood safely on a table saw.

I'm sorry but I don't agree that 2 push sticks of that style is the way to go. I'm also surprised that in a thread you have started about safety issues that you have shown a bloke using a saw with the blade set too high up for the cut he is making as an example of safe practice.

    Customs declarations and brexit

All very good points that I could not have explained but I am afraid that the remainers won't reply. THere is no way that I would have voted for trading problems but there is no way I would have voted remain with all the other things that we have to accept in order to continue with a sensible...

I want to lay 1 large paving slab as a step into an outbuilding so I went to Wickes for a small bag of cement and a small bag of sharp sand and they didn't have either so I went to B&Q they had cement but no sharp sand.

    Customs declarations and brexit

The fact that the UK has in 3 months rolled over most of the trade deals with other countries should be something we should all be pleased about as the deals are now far better than what was before in that we still have the same trading situation with most of the countries involved without the...

    Customs declarations and brexit

I well remember on the on the last now long gone Brexit thread many people mocking how few trade deals the UK had arranged at the time. Anybody wish to comment on the situation now that has been done at a time when the whole world is in the grip of a pandemic?
