    Vauxhall Astra van

Can't say about late Astra vans but up until about 6 years ago I had a 1998 Astra estate as a vehicle we used for all the dirty jobs you don't want to do with your car. I could get an amazing amount of stuff in it but it would not take an 8x4 sheet inside but it would take them on the roof bars.

    Drill Press issues

Sorry I have only just seen your question. Others will tell you that you need to buy an industrial quality drill to eliminate the problem and that for sure is one way but for woodwork you can in my opinion overcome the problem by using a brad point bit that in truth in my opinion is the best...

    Drill Press issues

If you intend to keep the drill you have your best bet is to buy some good quality brad point drill bits and that will solve most of the problems.

can anyone explain in plain laymen language new You Tube agreement terms

From what I can see most people who only watch videos will not really notice a change but people who have videos on youtube that they have not set to be monetised could still have adverts placed on their videos and will not receive any payment.

    Retirement

Truth is Bob nobody knows if they have enough to retire unless they know how long they have left to live.

    Drill Press issues

My advice is very different to the others. If this is just for woodworking then I think that the Bosch would be the way to go. You say you are a wheelchair user so one big advantage is that the quite large table sits on the bench and the second advantage is that to change speed you don't have to...

    cross cutting saw...

I have 'had a go' on a Mafell MT55 and Festool TS 55 but only ripping a few sheets of ply width ways at a friends shop, so it really doesn't offer me much in the way of help making a decision since it's not what I'm going to be using it for. I would suggest that you try out the cuts you want to...

    First bandsaw

I am not sure that I understand what you mean by cutting the corners off of logs. On a band saw if you are cutting anything that is round in cross section you need to support it in a sled to stop it from twisting.

I doubt it has much value on it's own but the best way to get a valuation is to search ebay completed listings.

    My chiselling accident...

I think that it is probable that we have all done similar and I think that the main think to learn from it is not to get involved in anything when you are short of time.

    Are phones too complicated?

To be honest I have a Google Pixel 5 phone and a Chromebook and I have to say that it is amazing the things I can do without problems. I think that problems arise when you are trying to merge things from 2 different manufactures.

    Inca Bandsaw service

I do have that book I think it came with the saw when I purchased it. If it is worth that much money I think I may well sell it. I think the later saws than mine did come with an extractor port under the blade but I am happy enough with my solution. It is by no means 100% but is far better than...

    Inca Bandsaw service

My Inca that I bought new in the 1980's has the same holes at the bottom of the front cover. I block up the one below the blade guides with a piece of wood and connect my shop vac to the other as well as under the table.
