Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

How did you get on with these? I really like the idea of being able to stack them.

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

No this one doesn’t, it’s primary use is for sketching so for me I don’t need multiple angles.

    Bambu lab buying advice

Onshape has parametric modelling, I actually find it better than fusion for that. Mainly due to the fact that the uni and workflow for it in fusion are pretty poor.

I recommend taking a look at onshape, I’ve recently switched to it and enjoying it so far. Its browser based so should be easier to run on your system.

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

I saw this tablet stand and thought it was a cool idea, so I adapted (copied) it for cnc. https://www.printables.com/model/208193-ipad-tablet-drawing-stand I cut the front lips off as my hand was catching on them and also made it using 8mm tubing so I didn't have to change bit in the cnc...

    Thanks for the correction.

What wood for outdoor furniture / planters?

I had a similar question not long ago, might be some useful answers for you too: https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/budget-exterior-wood.148103 For my builds, I went with construction lumber and pallet wood then painted with an exterior grade paint. I do plan on building some more with...

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

I printed a router housing that uses this technique, it's held up really well. Never thought of using it on a smaller scale.

    Bambu lab buying advice

I use the AMS primarily for being able to swap between different filament types based on my requirements. At the moment I have some PETG, PLA and PLA-CF loaded in there and the fact that I can change to the best filament for my need by changing a drop down is brilliant. But then again I am lazy...

    Concrete Slab Drainage

Doh, including the drain would help haha. Excuse the mess, the drain is located at the far end, circled. There's a dip in the middle channel which is the main cause of issue that I need to sort out. Not sure best way to do so. I wasn't expecting water to flow into the inspection grate.

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Made another planter and a small stool. The stool was a test of the design to see if I wanted to make a bench and table in similar design. Turns out I don't ha, was boring to make and I don't think it looks that good, so back to the drawing board on that one.

    Concrete Slab Drainage

I'd like to build a deck outside my back door, however the concrete slab/pad that's there currently has been damaged over the years and the drainage doesn't work. The main issue is the channel that's there has sunk in the middle so water ends up sitting there. I don't really wanna remove it...

Thanks, maintainability was one of the main considerations for this build as I am notoriously bad when it comes to garden maintenance.

First garden planter done, going to make a matching one and probably a larger trough style one too. I'd intended to use pocket screws for this but when it came to it I realised I didn't have any, so this one is just screwed and glued. Used a mix of pallet wood, pine from local diy store. Painted...

    Budget Exterior Wood

Ah I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip.

    Budget Exterior Wood

Thanks all for the replies much appreciated. I'm thinking of spending more on the bench build and use something like white oak, and save money on the planters that I need to build. Considering I'll be building many planters but only one bench, makes a bit more sense to make the one bench really...

    Budget Exterior Wood

I'm looking to build a couple of benches for my garden, but want something budget friendly. The two options I've considered are pressure treated lumber or untreated lumber with exterior paint. I've red conflicting information, some say if it's outside it has to be pressure treated others say...

Another mini mallet build, this one as a gift. I decided to weight this one so it's a bit easier to use as my last one was a little light. Also added some cork for those more gentle taps. Added a ring to the top of the handle to hide where I rounded over too close to the tenon ha.

    Which Festool extractor

I also have the CTL MIDI, mainly used for mitre saw but also use it for power tools too oh and for my cnc. With the addition of a remote attached to the end of the hose it works great.
