    TRV adaptors, any ideas?

Thank you, the nut idea could be a good solution and certainly less involved. The Drayton valves are fairly easy to get off the nut

    Will take a look, thanks

    TRV adaptors, any ideas?

Unfortunately that's the one I tried. There isn't enough thread length in the female part so as soon as you turn the TRV the whole lot just pulls off the valve thread

    TRV adaptors, any ideas?

The family have said they don't want that upheaval at the moment so I'm trying to find a work around for them

    TRV adaptors, any ideas?

I've tried pretty much everywhere online and the size is no longer made. Even got one from china that claimed to be the right size but it was the modern one

    TRV adaptors, any ideas?

The house where I work is getting on, and the plumbing was last upgraded in the 80's. Many if the TRVs are failing and the old (M30?) thread is obsolete. I tried an adaptor bought online but it was badly made in aluminium with such a short thread only one turn was engaged. Does anyone know of a...

    Atco admiral 16s lawnmower manual?

If it's a Briggs vertical crank they are usually stamped on the engine cowl like that. Think that's the cutout for the spark plug below the code

    Atco admiral 16s lawnmower manual?

A little more digging shows the whole business minus the name was sold to Allett who may have some information still. Currently Atco is made by GGP in Italy

    Face mask mounting

Decent mdf should be perfectly smooth, I think many here have suggested spraying it for the best finish but that's not something I'm any good at

    Face mask mounting

Any particular reason not to use MDF? Would take paint well enough

    Development of the pole lathe

There's a thing called a bodgers muddle which uses the flex if the uprights and an arrangement of ropes through a central whorl to produce the spring needed. No idea when it first appeared but there's some interesting reading here...

    Help with a hatchet

As that shape is sometimes called 'doe's foot' heel and toe is quite fitting

    Help with a hatchet

If memory serves the bit you referred to as the heel is called the beard and should indeed be pointing down the line of the handle. It looks like someone has given it a bit of a battering with a hammer at some point in it's life, possibly to the extent that there's a curve to the head (although...
