Where can I purchase metal thread inserts for Ash's Urn?

Knew this had come up before. There's a link in this thread but I think it may be a US company Post in thread 'Funeral urns' https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/funeral-urns.141291/post-1643374

    Crack filling

The first thing that sprang to mind was whether polyethylene glycol or a wood hardener would stabilise this enough to let you refill the cracks with a conventional exterior filler. Other than that whether there is a pourable UV stable resin that would bond well enough. Really just thoughts as a...

Workbench pull out extension for router table

Could you drop a router insert into the MFT top? I'd be tempted to cannibalise a computer desk slide to put the table saw below the mft and lift it out when needed

    Pillar drills

Can you add a hydraulic lift to the Meddings table? Perhaps a suitable bottle jack could be repurposed at it's simplest

    Bevel edge/ chamfer edge

25° bevel either side? Then you are effectively cutting 2@2x1. Doable on a table saw with the board running vertically and the blade set at 65° I think Assuming it's shaped like a fence capping rail

    TRV adaptors, any ideas?

Thought I'd come back and update this thread. The company I first bought adaptors from has listened to customer feedback and now make them from stainless steel, with more thread length top and bottom. If you need them they are here...

Repositioning lights on trailer lighting board - wiring advice?

If you've got Eurocarparts nearby pop in and get a couple of these, just the job https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/hella-fog-lamps-driving-lights-482770340 You are right about the wiring, just don't use scotchblocks on a trailer unless you enjoy tracing electrical faults 🤬

Advice on hand rivit guns please to try and fix my Star Wars Prep. Cant snap stems and need way to much strenght to set on delicate prop

Look out for tri-fold or split rivets, they are often used in situations where a deep hole and spread loads is required. Easier to set than a standard rivet but will still need a good squeeze. One of these worked well for setting them when a conventional pop riveter wouldn't...

Momo is very sad right now

Not sure whereabouts you are Georgie, but Basingstoke has an active beekeeping club. Someone there may know who Momo is. Looking at some of his old posts the only hint of a name is Garry Good luck in your search

    Hobbit house

Look up Tony Wrench's roundhouse for details of a reciprocal frame roof. Think you might need 4 more uprights to support the ring beam but it should give you some idea

Collection Of Rare Early Woodworking Lathes

That's an interesting sale. Learned something new today, I'd never heard of a 'goniostat' before. Now have a new project to add to the list

Help me with my first ever mig welds, why do they look like Swiss cheese and will I ever improve (cry for help after being demolished on Reddit)

As an aside, does anyone know of places doing basic courses? Looking around here even the agricultural colleges have stopped doing them and the old techs have long gone

    Woodturning Tools

Parabolic flute on bowl gouge: more 'meat' in the tool for strength as it's cutting edge is farther out from the rest. Sometimes needs the 'heel' grinding back to clear tighter radii. U shaped flute on spindle gouges: allows more cutting edge on the width of the gouge and a slimmer profile to...

    castors

This might be more use then, I'd be tempted to build it in steel so you could move the operating lever outside the frame and have it higher for hand operation https://www.lumberjocks.com/showcase/diy-mobile-base-for-jointer-or-table-saw.75618/
