    This is misinformed. Diamond sawblades are excellent for wood, but expensive. This article is describing diamond grit saw blades on wood. For wood one should be using a PCD chip brazed onto a steel body.

    Always use a proper guard, use the correct thickness riving knife for the blade. They are not expensive and they can help your extraction too.

    SP12 was 4‘ stroke and was available with 1ph as an option. They also introduced a version of this with a swinging arm support instead of the big outrigger table, but not many made.
