    Got my first 3D printer

My first 3D printer arrived today, a Anycubic Kobra 2. It was extremely easy to setup, like stupid easy. I'm pretty impressed so far, printed a Benchy with what I think is great results. Currently printing a box I designed in Onshape and I have downloaded files for a track end cover for my...

    3D Printing

Do any of you utilise 3D printing in your work? If so what do you make, parts, jigs something else? I've been thinking about getting one because the price of them has come down so much but not specifically to incorporate with builds but probably more to tinker with.

    All looks rather expensive :D:ROFLMAO:

Hardware, where do you get yours?

I'm just curious where folks get the hardware for their projects? From hinges and handles to more unusual things.

    Parkside track saw

The splinter guard is only held on with tape/glue. As the Parkside track is like the Makita and splinter guard for that will work. You might need some strong doubled sided tape as the new guard may not come with any. There is also the option of flipping the current guard round if it's wide...

    Woodpeckers v benchdogs T-square

You probably can't be arsed with the faff. Have you tried squaring them up? They are adjustable aren't they? I too have their 600 square and surprisingly it's dead square.

Very simple Apple/Posing boxes for a mates photo studio. Only made from cheap *** softwood 18mm ply.

UK & Ireland TIMBER YARDS - PLEASE Add Your Favourites

I do get the feeling that some of these suppliers look at hobbyist with disgust. What you only need 5 board feet. We thought you wanted 500, go away child. And there is most definitely a north south divide.

£6.68 you can get them for the narrower 19mm T-Slots.

I have made one that swings out the way on an arm when using the sled. Swings back over when in 'normal' mode.

I have not, made a cut, checked with my engineering square, found it was (lucky) so left it. As it's only for small parts I'm not that fused if its out a 1/1000th over 6 feet or whatever the 5 cut thingy says. :D

Finally got round to making a sled for the table saw. she isn't big but fit well with the small Axminster saw. The saw doesn't have a lot of space forward of the blade. Used an old Howdens Kitchen door as the base, T-track off of eBay and a couple cheap *** stops from Temu (surprisingly good...

Automatically switch on a extractor when a tool is powered on.

Exactly what I was thinking. Thank you.

Automatically switch on a extractor when a tool is powered on.

Thank you, Only the planer/thicknesser is on wheels. I am hoping for something like a simple extension lead that has the same feature as the titan shop vac. I believe I need a synchro socket, well that's what Titan call it in the destructions.

    Essential measuring & marking tools

The Veiko measuring tools you can get from China (Banggood) seem to have favourable reviews, I recently bought the 600mm square. Extremely well built I have to say, she's a heavy one too. And surprisingly square out the box. They also do a range on smaller squares. And like other, I have 2 Behco...
