I don't think the import and VAT situation has changed when buying from China or other non EU countries. I've just bought a scanner that's shipping from the Netherlands, I was charged tax on checkout but I am worried about other fees once UPS try to deliver.

Is this your planer? If so the knob at the rear of the bed is used to raise/lower it. Will have 3 mm of travel. There should be an indicator on the side, near the handle that adjusts the thicknesses bed. I am now convinced this is the same as the Lumberjack one.

I'd have to say that having both is a good way to go if you can. Repeatable, accurate cuts are a breeze to do with the track saw and MFT or parallel guides, even my cheap *** Mac Alistair give me accurate cuts. But as others have said a we'll set up table saw is so versatile.

Still trying to get my head around cubic footage and visualising what a typical cu.ft of say maple would actually look like. So a board that is 6' x 1' x 2"" is 1 cubic foot?

As I ditched the TV licence because I don't watch live broadcast TV I put those funds toward YT premium. £11 well spent IMO. No adverts and a tiny slice of that £11 does actually find it's way to the creators. Bonus is you get YT music which I've found to be way better than Amazon Prime Music.

Yes they do, they aren't particularly big or thick. Mostly already plained and they seem expensive. They also do PAR oak boards which are around £30 for 900x300x25
