Bought the AC216TS. Seems well built, solid. Was pretty straight forward to setup too.

Fantastic service by Axminster in Warrington today. Bought a new table saw, they threw in a tin of machine wax too and even ground down a couple T-slot bolts to fit some v-slot extrusion because they don't sell bolts that fit.

Having never owned a table saw with a cast iron top from new, what are the best practices for cleaning the oil off it? I am assuming that it'll come with a coating of oil for protection while in storage and shipping. Cheers. Mark.

You've asked them to mill the whole thing up to where all you have to do it cut your joints and assemble. That's going to cost. It would be way cheaper if you just ordered the cuft of sawn boards and milled yourself ( if at all possible) But yeah £1400 is shocking. Could be priced to put you...

Cheers, the area isn't massive and the substrate will be MDF. Are they prone to separating after a few years?

Been looking at real wood self adhesive veneers. I've never used them before, are they any good or best avoided. Or am I best going regular veneer and using contact adhesive? The price seems pretty bad God compared to veneered MDF or Ply.

I am tempted by the iIncra but can not find stock. So at present the Kreg plate is the only other, that I know of, that work with either the MOF001 or TRA001.

I have a cheap as chips Titan shop vac off of Screwfix. It's hooked up to a cyclone which in turn is fitted to a plywood box that collects the dust, chips and shavings. It work rather well with no real loss of suction until the box is getting full. The Titan vac does not come with a paper...

That's a great point that I never told them about. However if coated in epoxy surely that would stop oak from going black?

Seriously considering getting either the Triton MOF001 or TRA001. Main selling point is the router table lift system. do you own and use either of these routers, if so are you happy with it, any issues I should be aware of? I'm also looking at the Kreg PRS4043 insert rather than faffing about...

Thanks guys. From what I've seen of Epoxy it will have a glossy finish, that might be more than the client wants. Danish oil might be a better way forward. They are now looking at Iroko.
