I can second Onshape, yes it does irk me a little that it's online only but it really is a good bit of software. Having said that, if you are totally new to CAD or design software it might be worth considering FreeCAD or Ondsel (Better looking FreeCAD) and putting your energies into learning that.

Interesting, I never though about using LLM to generate a design like this. Seen plenty of people using it to generate images for lasers and CNC with some fantastic results particularly with fibre laser.

I used my Sculpfun S9 laser to make some custom packaging from cardboard I can source from work for free.

So quick update, 2080 wasn't set in stone so I've found a good deal on Matara.com for 3090 profile. 4.5m for £133 delivered. 10 day lead time but I'm cool with that. Tanks again for the help.

Thank you for the info, Ooznest does look like the most straight forward and easiest to order from. Valuframe website it stuck in the 90's ;) with no way to order online! You know they don't care when the price list is 10 years out of date.
