    Round Carbide Bit size

    As anyone purchased these particular bits shown in the photo. Most are 4.5 thickness and 5mm hole. These are 2.5mm thickness which I am looking for. However seller cannot give me size of hole as they are in good old China. As anyone purchased these off Ebay and know the hole size. :?:

    Think you are right Trev. What's thrown me was the bark not being very flaky. My knowledge on wood identification is not good so thanks for the quick reply. Now think I know were I got it from. Hope they put the other bits in the shed I asked them to keep for me. :D :D

    What would be the best way for me to produce this live edge bowl to remove some inner and outer material to aid drying. And then put it to one side to allow movement and then go back to it. As you will of realised i am on the leaning curve here. Please be patient with me :D

    Thanks for that CHJ I intend to remove enough bark to mount it on the spigot shown to attatatch to my chuck, as I did the last one. Would it be ok to get a rough outside shape without committing to doing the tennon. Then leaving for further drying.

    Hi Have just finished this natural edge walnut bowl. My first attempt so quite pleased. Did a bit of filling with coffee and ca glue worked well, so i thought :? After a couple of days this as happened to the knot i doctored. Is this due to not being completely dry or the doctoring i did?

    Year old plum

    Hi Hoping for some guidance please. The piece of plum given me was cot down a year ago,it's 8" at the fork and 21" long. Would i be best to look at making a bowl out of the crotch? If so how do go about it. Would appreciate any advice at all on this.

    No got any input please. Seems i will have to take the chuck to Axminster and physically offer it up. Was hoping to avoid the journey. Luckily there one 30 miles from me.
