2020 Secret Santa ......and we're off!

This above is the workshop pencil that I am trying to describe below, on how the Celtic knots was produced. This is the jig I made to produce the 45° Celtic knots in the pencil. You have to make 4 separate cuts on a blank that is exactly square and the same dimensions on all 4 sides. Number...

    Alternative to Miniwax

Yeah I have tried that. For me I am big fan of CA finish,I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I like it.

    Alternative to Miniwax

Having not much success on the above information l went a different route. I produced these which were commissions for local people. This was using CA glue to give me the hard wearing high sheen finish on a waterslide decal. It works absolutely great and the finished item is stunning.

Who wants one of these for xmas

That is scary just using the angle grinder with a guard is bad enough. I have seen a couple of bad accidents at work using it like that. But the chain saw conversation is just no bad.

    Kingspan

Hate the foam wont be using that.

    Kingspan

Now what you have just mentioned is what I was looking at doing. As losing 50 or 100mm will not cause a prolem to me. I can just nail to the beams seems the way to go.
  15. pops92

    Kingspan

Single garage tiles and block stuff under it. I want to just put 50 or 100mm kingspan onto the apex beams to cover it. Is this a problem ?

Sabre 350 and 1/4" blades ... can't get guides right

I have the Carter stabilisers on my BS350 and it is a good bit of kit. Dont use it a lot now not making bandsaw boxes. Not cheap but always use it on 1/4" and thinner. I still had to cut the guard to fit it on mine.

    Noise levels in my workshop

I have 2 hearing aids NHS Oticon Dynamo SP8 . These particular ones are exceptional and the best I have had. I have full ear molds due to severe loss. These have the ability to switch both aids into mute mode by pressing a button on either ear for 3 seconds then again and you are back in the...
