    Just had a light bulb moment. !What if! I used a couple of coats of sanding sealant rubbed down,then went onto varnish wipe 50/50 for the ŕest of the build up. Any reason not to or would it be a waste of time :?: :?:

    Yeah Have the BS300E there is 2 grub screws at the front and rear. Difficult to see while assembled but if you look at the 2 photo's I have attached. You will see I have marked the allen key in front and rear shots. I removed the table backed all 4 off then bolted the tabe down. Checked for...

    Looked at couple of articles on tru-oil it shows it as very time consuming to get the required result. Will put that one on the back buner for now and go for the wipe on varnish method and see what result I get. Thank for the link.

    Have now spent some time looking at wipe on varnish method. Going to make some up and give it a go. I have half a tin of Ronseal clear yacht varnish left,anyone know if this polyurethane varnish? Looked all over google but still dont know,only know it can be thinned zas it says on the can...

    Checked mine this morning, quite a bit out as in photo attached. Removed the 2 bolts holding the table assembly, backed the 4 grub screws off till just below proud. Then bolted table down again checked against blade and adjusted till correct and tightened the 2 bolts back up. Real pain...

    Hi Would welcome any advice on finishing my 2nd ever box. All the information I have found so far are american. Would like some advice from you guy's please. As I am only just starting in this any advice that's steering me in the right direction would be great. :lol:

    Hi I have the BS 300e which has the same guide system as the 400. Like you I don't like the system with the disc's. They just don't seem right if you know what I mean !! But setting them as shown with in the video I got with it,does seem to work fine. Don't like the system at all on 3/16"...

    What did you do in your workshop today ?

    Opened parcel with my new Draper 52001 disc/belt sander arranged all the bit,fitted them switched on ! NOTHING!. Took all the bits off packed it back,now awaiting pickup and replacement. Next time switch on first. Not an happy poacher. :evil:

    Took Woodpig's advice and did the mod he showed on another thread to the fence using a bit of oak.Works absolutely great and far easier to change. Thanks Woodpig

    I am using the NILFISK AERO 26-21 PC 1250W 25LTR WET & DRY VACUUM CLEANER 240V Works great on all my kit with small adaption methods on some.Even the bag can be used more than once with a cut at the corner. Then fold over and clamp for next use. See how it works on the Draper 50021 Alex mine...

    Heating the workshop

    Glad I read this thread,seeing the screwfix heater bargain thought I would give it a go. Pick it up tomorrow, maybe able to take a few layers of clothes off in the garage now.
