Making my own handles for robert sorby bowl gouge

Just finished my first one everything went well apart from the drill hole being on the p**s. Will spit the wood and remake it with the drill hole inline with the handle. Looks to me that getting the hole correct is the hardest part.

Making my own handles for robert sorby bowl gouge

HI first time on this forum. I want to make my own handle for an RS bowl gouge but cannot find guidance on securing it in the handle. Is it just a matter of fitting a ferrule of suitable size and epoxy resin for the gouge. Thank you in advance for assistance.

    Folding workbench mod

Hi Guys Just wanted to show this mod/adaption to the Screwfix bench I purchased a few months back. Now the weathers better I wanted to do my sanding outside and catch a bit of sun as well. Built the adaptation shown and it works great, can still take the bench off and use for another job.

Do my BS300e guides look 'normal'?

Hi Neil I have the BS300e and can confirm Alex has the info spot on. What works for him on the BS400 is the same for me on the BS300e. Every time I have had a problem it's been down to me rushing the set up.

Well done glad you got it delivered Ok. As for the blade very inferior as others mentioned went straight to tuffsaws for my starter pack. Would not go anywhere else now. Service is great and blades broken on the weld replaced no problem. Hope you enjoy your new machine.

Hi The router plate shown has been talked about on other threads. But no one has mentioned wether they have one or know someone who has one. I can't find any reviews anywhere for it. I always like to have the full facts on something before purchasing.

Hi Steve I have just purchased the Triton MOF001 and like you have just installed it in a table. The design is the same as yours and I've had no problem with the 20mm drop you are experiencing. Don't know about you but the wind down/up ability is great.

    Staight Cutting Sheet Materials

Use to cut 2 and 3 mm all the time with a 4" slitting disc. When I required an accurate cut I would scribe the final cut line, then with a auto or manual centre dot punch do the whole scribed line with dots. Then cut on the waste side by a 1mm or 2mm. All the dots are visible through the sparks...
