    In the past they were fitted with Sulphur. Drill a hole 2/3 of the depth of the tang length, with the diameter of the tang at 2/3 of the length. Heat the tang to a dull red and force the tang into the handle. Repeat until handle is fitted fully. Remove the tool. Fill the hole with powder...

    I hate insomnia. It is a real pain. But it does have a few good points. 3am, cold OJ and good music. I know I should of used a sanding sealer.

    Beech was used as it was the first bit to hand. I was not at home to chose hickory. But it works, the operator is very happy.

    A One off hammer.

    This was hand made to suit a Men In Shed member who has issues holding tools. The shaft head is out of line were the hand would be. Does not really show here. After a rusty head was dunked into citric acid, I had a head covered in Black oxide. A quick polish in a tumble polisher...
