    Aladdin No. 11 lamp.

This Aladdin N0. 11 came my way the other day. It was caked in crud, lots of items missing and in need of some TLC. This shows the crud and the dirt on the tanks. In bits, the wick was rotten, with age. With a seized wick, do not try to use the wick adjuster to free it, you will...

    Book Press

Those handles are a pain to remove, even with heat. I have done a few in the past. If the handle is a pain, worse if it is a casting, then to much heat will damage it. Remove the top nut. Heat the area round the fixing hole and add oil. A few gentle tap with a hide mallet should shift it...

    Hydraulic bench

I haven't got one, but have helped a friend make a few. The main issues is when they are disposed off, it is normaly got a fault that is to costly to repair. The ram seals are the most common issues. But they can be found and replaced. The PTFE bushes in the pivet points can wear.

    Brass Oil Pump

This Oil pump came my way for pennies. I knew it needed work, as I dismantled it in tjhe shop. One washer was replaced, from my own stock of parts. The other one was saved with a bit of ground nut oil. A good polish and I also made new seals. All is good.

    Brass Beer Keg Tap Repair

This brass Beer keg tap came my way the other day. I got it as it from a once local brewery. Alas the tap broke. It is a brass casting so not going to be a fun fix. Using wire I lashed it into place and silver solderedit together. A good polish.
