    Antique Pantry cupboard Build (Refresh/Upcycle?)

Wow! That's fab! I have been looking for inspiration for my kitchen cupboard. How have the top arch bits for the doors been made? It looks as though a curve has been cut through two adjoining pieces, is this how it has been done? Thanks

    Makita Biscuit Jointer

Cheers Custard, thank you - I know far too much about cheap biscuit jointers :( You may just have cost me an extra £200, but thank you anyway - just don’t tell Mr C!

    Makita Biscuit Jointer

Has anyone got anything bad to say about the Makita PJ7000 before I buy one and wish afterwards I had saved up for a Lamello? Thanks

    Workshop from scaffold boards..

What is your budget? A cheap shed on your slabs might be better - you can then insulate and enhance as time/money allows.

    Stolen Tools

I have just signed this, however, small smile, the next petition I was promted to sign afterwards was ‘immediate custodial sentence for anyone caught carrying a knife’. Perhaps not if anyone looks in my hand bag!

    Einhell Biscuit Jointer.....

...... one step away from the bin. My biscuit jointer has developed play between the body and base (it wobbles!) resulting in holes seldom ending up in the same place. I can’t find any thing to adjust. Anyone got any suggestions before I condemn it? Is it cheap tool syndrome or am I missing...

Planer thicknesser for less than £1,000

Have you managed to find anything? I am looking for something similar, but don’t like the look of anything that you have to move the tables to get at the thicknesser. I have been using my friends Sedgwick so have possibly been spoilt! Can anyone convince me otherwise about flip up tables?

Planer thicknesser for less than £1,000

There is an Axminster on EBay for just over your budget which may not appear in searches as the gentleman can’t spell ‘Planer’, look under ‘Planner’ instead. It has been on for some time so might come for less.

    Furniture Collections

Thank you folks, apologies for being vague! I have been struggling with proportions so period doesn’t matter, it’s more to understand the mysterious skill of understanding what looks ‘right’. I have perfected the art of what looks wrong! Thank you for the V&a, nt and museum suggestions. I...

    Furniture Collections

I have been struggling with design to come up with things that look right. My learned friend suggested that when he was at college they visited various country house and furniture collections to look at what is ‘good’ and to get ideas. Can any one suggest places to visit with good collections...
