    Triton MOF001 height adjustment

I had a similar problem with my TRA001 which turned out to be the plastic teeth on the micro adjuster that had worn. They are also notorious for some of them having plastic teeth on the worm shaft which go, it could be the same on yours. I took mine apart with some exceptional guidance from Ray...

Can anyone identify this hinge jig please?

Try Trend Varijig, same stuff different colour. You can get the components separately depending on exactly what you need.

    Garden hedge debate

We had a similar dilemma moving into a picture postcard property where the gardens were immaculate and the lawn appeared to have been vacuumed every day BUT the previous occupants were both retired, loved gardening and also employed a gardener for 2 days a week! We both work full time and...

    Blind Youtuber Woodworker?????

Accepting that he may be blind and as such his spatial awareness is probably better than those of us that are sighted, watching this still makes me feel ill. Surely it should come with some sort of warning that using an unguarded blade really isn’t a good idea, or is this just so obvious it’s...

MFT top, make one or buy in?

Cncdesign at Wrexham do them or there are other suppliers on eBay. Postage is very reasonable.

six week layoff ... going out of my tree!

How’s about learning how to use something like Sketchup properly to produce some plans for when you are better. If you are already an expert perhaps produce some plans that the rest of us can use :) P.S. speedy recovery

    Beginner question about short courses

Just check how the course is actually run before you dive in. I did one at a local college with a dozen people all making different things at different stages. As the guy was trying to teach a dozen different things at once the actual time spent learning anything useful was minimal. Good...

Thank you both, I think I am resigned to making them myself

    Kitchen cabinets 200mm deep

Does anyone know anywhere that does kitchen units that are only 200mm deep? I have found 100 but not 200! I only want the cabinets, not the doors. Thanks

Not personally, but Gosforth handyman has if you look at his October YouTube vid.

    Not quite long enough!

Unfortunately not, I would have ended up being a bottle short of a wine rack and the whole thing was designed to get maximum bottle storage in a specific space, so a bit of a bodged top is the less of all these evils. Thank you everyone for the suggestions :)

Butt hinges on kitchen cabinet doors

There is a thread about it here -https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=106875&start=0&&view=print

    Not quite long enough!

Because in this case it was made from offcuts that someone else had thrown out :)

    Edge trimmer

The little Katsu trimmer is ace, but the plunge base I bought with it was b*** awful (although from other reports I could just have been unlucky). I use mine 99% of the time with a home made lengthened base which makes it a bit easier to balance.

    Not quite long enough!

Hi It’s a wine rack with a solid top. It will end up with junk on top, so no one else will notice apart from it will annoy me! Thanks for the suggestions, will think of a feature to go in the hole!

    Not quite long enough!

I am a couple of inches short of a unit top! I am making a top for a unit out of ash which needs to be 300 wide x 800 long. I am going to make it by jointing a piece 200 x 800 to a piece that is 100 wide. Unfortunately the 100mm piece is only 760 long - I have some short bits of the same...

    40mm Birch Plywood

Not wishing to be rude, but why do you need shelves so thick? 2 bits of 18mm will be quite heavy.

It’s chisel time! Chisel me timbers! Your fav chisels!

I have got a selection of makes, but my second hand old Footprints are by far the best for staying sharp. They are cheap enough that even if you do go for the plastic handle ones it’s not the end of the world if you destroy one. I think I paid something like £20 for a set of 4 on EBay, they...
