    Budget power tools.

Without seeing a workbench or planing beam on trestles, in order to hand plane the face and edge of the material to be processed, it suggests you might be in danger. Very much so IMO. Two pushsticks per UK or EU rules, 450mm long, not those baby shoes you see on youtube, must be long enough...

    Mobile Machine Base

I'm starting one for the belt and disc, hopefully going to make it far more versatile/usable, and def going with the same Holmgren design again, (but steel) Any machine what's relying on braked casters is a hazard IMO Must be rock solid .Every thing a bit shakey is asking for trouble, enough...

Recommendation of where to buy Aluminium Extrusion.

Be interesting to know how this is coming along, as none of these extrusions are that handy for use with a crown guard. Anyone else know of a supplier which will sell something with a high/low function for a tablesaw? Tom

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

I could have screenshot the video, or given a link Pete, but just mentioning it for yourself, or anyone else who doesn't have the cash for two brakes and blades. The guy has had the saw for a long time, and it's new/easy to find. I kinda view the new ownership of this site now, from the same...

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

Seems like checking for a mouse/bug is part of the setup everytime. That seems to be one possible reason mentioned in the comments for unexplained activation's. Worth a look if you search for that on YT. Sawstop Activation- Scary and expensive; plus a little dust collection work #woodworking

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

"Your safety is our top priority." Doesn't seem like it to me, from someone who want's a fence extrusion to comply with EU rules. Just visited the website there, and they sell all sorts of things, like router inserts and whatnot, but no fence parts... not even for someone who wants to have a...

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

Now now, we've been mentioning this for years and years, if youself or Sawstop retailers are not aware then that's just being negligent, simple as. This is obviously a case of either contesting the fact, or not wanting to know. The UK HSE stuff is dated, and not comprehensive either, but can be...

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

And can those who already own a Sawstop, buy the aftermarket sliding high/low extrusion for ripping as per the rules in Europe, or is Sawstop going to pretend that the full length fence isn't a recipe for possible death and ignore that like overseas. Hoping the former, as I need something not...

For Sale New Axminster rip fence

Plus one here too, as I've been looking for a high/low extrusion for a while, I'd like to know what else comes with such what's preferable. Below probably the most up to date European safety standards which a helpful creeker pointed out to me recently, it's quite good, and for the unaware might...

    Bandsaw Issues?

Below is a machine from the best, one from a time when their best line of saws were worth studying. If you look up these specific saws in particular, then you likely might find your answer. All the best

    Woodhaven2 heads up

My laptop is running a bootable Linux mint thingy, on Firefox, (Chrome won't upload) and it won't go on reddit for instance, as I get that browser lingo. Working fine on an Amazon fire tablet, got logged in just now. Signed out and couldn't see the thread, same thing as Inspector. edit: posted...

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at www.thewoodhaven2.co.uk. If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try: Try again later. Check your network connection. If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that...

Jig to cut veneers on a bandsaw.

Have you planned on incorporating some kind of holddown for the work since? Steven Woodward has made some interesting videos using gate hinges. Something of the sort would be advisable, so you could be using push sticks, as it might leave the impression that it's OK to do without. Looks a recipe...

Table Saw w/ability to take a dado stack.

is there such a crown guard with a hold down function, as per the Shaw guards in Roy's old video on Youtube?

    Table saw advice?

You're on the right track considering welding. Anything else shouldn't be considered for that tilting table machine really, as tilting the machine in order to keep the table flat for those cuts is the safest bet, whilst also welding up something like in Steve Maskery's new video for those...
